Ldavis Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I see that Cabelas has the Guideware on sale in the Bargain Cave. My question is what is the difference in the two kinds that they are selling? They both say Guideware in the description. One has Guideware written on the chest pocket. Just wondering before I buy. Uncle Leo Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 One might be insulated and the other non-insulated. I have an insulated set. great for early winter and late winter. I ice fish and use it at the beginning of the season. Great gear especially on sale. Quote
Ldavis Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 They both can be bought in the insulated or non version. Even have some of the same colors. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 I looks to me like the MTO50 has exterior pockets. Maybe that's the only difference. :-/ Quote
Ldavis Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 What is the MTO50? In the pics on the Bargain Cave they are diagonal from each other. They both are red/ black in color. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Guidewear is a generic term for all of their brand clothes. Could be pants, shirt, jackets. bibs or what ever. Maybe you should post a link for what your looking at. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 I don't know, but this is standard Guidewear on sale, on the main sight, not in the Bargin Cave: http://www.cabelas.com/p-0043378.shtml <-------------This is the uninsulated version. 8-) Quote
Ldavis Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Don't know how to post a link for the pics but they can be seen in the Cabelas Bargain Cave online. Quote

Bobby Uhrig Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 My buddies all have the insulated versions. They said unless you are fishing in extreme cold -dont buy them. They are hot as H%$^. They are the best raingear out there. They said buy the non insulated so you can put on layers of clothes if you need to.Most of them fish in the warmer weather .-spring-summer-fall Quote
Ldavis Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 roadwarrior: Thakns for the link but that pic is the same one that is in the Bargain Cave. The other one is diagonal to it. The black chest part dosen't seem as big on the other coat plus it is cheaper too. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 All colors are on sale, tops and bibs. 8-) Quote
Ldavis Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Thanks roadwarrior. I am going to take the plunge on one or the other set. One set is cheaper than the other one but both are Guideware Gortex brand. I tried calling but they did not know the differences between the two either. Quote
