I normally use crucial rods but i want one just for senkos. Has anyone used a crucial and a falcon cara to compare. Looking at the 6'10" mh fast in the cara series. I want a rod more than 6'6" but less than 7'. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Willing to spend up to $250.

I have and use both and you can't go wrong with either. I know that's not what you want to hear but that's that. the cara IMO is going to be the better rod though. I feel like the cara is a little better balanced. falcon's typically IMO are rated a little more powerful than they are.

If you are flexible on brand, i just picked up a 6'8" Medium Powell max spinning rod that is PERFECT for weightless senkos. Has an extra fast taper that handles senkos perfectly. They can be had for like $110 if you look.

I have the 6'10" cara in the Clark Wendlandt series (EVA split grips). It is the so-called finesse jig rod. I don't know what's finesse about it though. It's almost broomstick stiff. But light. It stacks up favorably against my Cumaras. I love it, but to me it isn't a finesse jig rod...more like an all-out jigs-in-the-grass rod. Despite the discrepancy in naming, I recommend it without reservation. To me, not a Senko rod though. It'll throw them, and you will not be at a loss for hookset power, but to me not the prototypical senko rod.
