Anyone fish these just plain old Texas or weightless?  Any success?  How would you fish these?

the crazy legs chigger craw is really good for flipping and pitching.  It comes with antenna on it which throw out more vibration than the regular chigger craw.  However, both will work nicely for flipping and pitching.

+1 on flipping and pitching them.

The benefit of the Crazy Leg chigger, you can just pinch off the antenna if the fish want a subtle presentation.

I fish them texas rigged pretty often. Especially when I'm flipping, pitching, or punting. One of my favorite craw baits.

What's punting? is it some variation of a pitch? i've never heard of that before.

Thanks

As for the Chigger Craw I use them for pitching. Those and the Paca craws are my 2 favorite craw type baits

I meant punching. I was watching Monday Night Football so I might have been thinking something else haha.

I would also recommend the 4" version. I like green pumpkin and black/blue flake.

I like the crazy legs version as a trailer on a football jig.

I use the 4" version for flippin and pitchin and the 3" version for jig trailers.  The Crazy Legs Chigger Craw is also great for flippin and pitchin.  I really like green pumpkin for this.

I have been absolutely dying to buy that bait!!!!! ;):(:o :o

Whenever I go to tackle shops I limit myself on what I buy. I always leave with a couple of hooks, zoom plastics, and a jig. I have never got around to actually purchasing them because they are so expensive. I have seen pictures of them and think that they would make a hell of a fishing trip.

I heard alton jones won the bass master in 2008. All he did was texas rig it with a weight of your choice and jigged it back. Flip it into heavy cover as well as trees and grass. Try using the yum wooly hawg. I brought this bait out of impulse and had it in my bag for 2 years. When I started using the texas rig it worked phenomenal (used the same method as the chigger craw.) When I got my first jig kit, i matched it to a jig and had fun the whole day catching bass while no one else with me did. Man that was an awesome day!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

i like the paca craw better with the solid head/hollow body. I get more fish per bait and they are cheaper.

X2 ;)

Interesting...a new one on me. Must try to pick some up and give them a try....

I guess it's a case of different strokes for different folks....or in this case, what may work on one body of water/part of the country, may not do so well elsewhere. I do feel this is something we loose sight of at times....I doubt their is such a thing as a 'universal' hot plastic/pattern combo ....If anyone knows of one...buy them all up....and make a fortune on Ebay....rolleyes.gif
