Packard Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I am sure most of you have heard about the new Sebile D&S Crankbait being released this year. I have had several on order for a while now. Now my question is, since they have a single ewg hook will a regular deep cranking rod work with them? Will the moderate action on most deep crank rods be too slow to set the hook with this bait or will it not keep the fish hooked? Hmmm..... I might have to use my 7'2" H/F jig rod with these if this is the case. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted February 13, 2012 Super User Posted February 13, 2012 Your crank stick is still more than adequate. You won't want to fish them on your jig rod. You still want the softer rod for fishing them for many, many reasons. Quote
rbenash Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 OK so I know I'm late responding. But thing is I like the design and concept. I want some. But when I go to the Sebile sight, depth says 1-2 feet. Not what I expected. I figured this is a crank that you can go deep and not worry about whacking the bottom and obstructions. 1-2 ft depth just doesn't make sense when I see the bill and pics. Bad descritpion on the web site perhaps?? Quote

Bad descritpion on the web site perhaps?? Tackle Tour gives a better discription. The DR in the name stands for Deep Runner. They will run at a depth of 20 feet when retrieved and 28 feet when trolled. Like you, I don't understand what the 1-2 feet means. Quote
