John G Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Japan Tackle says they are reverse thread if you have a right hand reel. I assume they mean left hand thread. Are they? I grabbed whatever little Philips screwdriver that I had and I think that I boogered up the head of the screw. The screw looks like I can use a flat tip. I just got back from my shop and either I don't have the right flat tip or I can't use a flat tip. I plan on adding bearings to my Calcutta 100B handle and I thought that I would just tinker around with the handle but his is becoming a real pita. Quote
Maico1 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Is there a slot you can see if so turn it to your left and it should come off. I am not sure if that is riveted on on a 100b. Quote
John G Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 This is what I see. The knobs are not riveted on. I see a slot but I can't get a flat tip to fit in the slot for some reason. Quote
John G Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 I just took a cap off of my older silver Calcutta 100 knobs and I was able to remove the knob. It too had a Philips head and it came off by turning normal (counter clockwise). Quote
Maico1 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That is what I suggested...congrats on getting it off. Quote
