swmofisher Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I was going to buy a skeet reese rod but I've heard to much about their poor quality and low sensitivity. Does anybody have any suggestions on a 7'6" Heavy pitching rod for close to $100? I won't be fishing grass mats Quote
Zoff Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Yeah... Vendetta. I have several and love 'em. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted February 9, 2012 Super User Posted February 9, 2012 Vendetta would be my choice also. I got one for fishing the river in the small jon boat so if it would get broke I wouldn't be out much and it has turned out to be a wonderful rod. These are powerful rods that are tremendous casters so I don't think you could do much better for a pitching rod. The Reese rods aren't bad but even the fast action rods I've handled have too much flex for my liking. Quote

Greed Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The 7'6" MH AG Veritas get's my nod, it has a little more give than the 7'3" model. Quote

bayouXpress Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 if your in tight close quarters get a 6'6" MH Veritas. if you got a little more room to spare go with a 7fter MH veritas Quote

I couldn't agree more...I have both and the 7'3" is a pool cue of a rod. really should be rated a heavy. the 7'6" is perfrect for pitching/flipping. lots of backbone too Quote
