Jiggingupgiants Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Already up and running here in Va, with many many 2-4 lb bass since the first of the year, and I also got decent one already this past Saturday, a pretty 6lb fish. Its starting out good fishing, and am only looking for it to get better. As good as fishing has been already, I've got my hopes up to break my 9lb PB and get into the double digits Here are some pics from this season, first two are typical winter bass for me, the third is my 6lb from Saturday. Christian M Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 If I were you I would just get online & google "Richmond VA bass fishing", you'll find sites that will give you maps of local hot spots on lakes, streams & rivers, and theres also always google earth, but I'm sure there are pleanty of fisherman on here that can hook you up with local knowledge, good luck! Jiggingupgiants Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 I am on the Eastern Shore of Va, its all private ponds and SMALL lakes here, other than the Pocomoke River, which is actually in MD, but still near by. I have caught bass on lipless cranks, spinnerbaits, shakey heads, and t rigged worms so far this season. By far, the number one producer is t rigged plastics and shakey heads, Power Worms and Zoom U tails are usually my choices, colors according to the water clarity. For me, red shad, tequila sunrise, blue fleck, black, and some sort of watermelon or pumkin variation covers it all. Fish em slow! Quote
