LOW7681 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I've been fishing Bandits ever since they came on the market and I've never been satisified with the hooks that come with them or similar size cranks as they are a little on the small size. I just prefer a little larger hook than that which comes on most cranks as I feel my hookup percentage is better. But a # 4 hook is too big. VMC makes a treble hook called a "Short Shank Rapala" and also one called "Rapala Treble" in size 5. Has anyone used either one of these hooks? I would be particularly interested if the Short Shank hook in #5 is short enough that the hooks will not tangle. Thanks. Bob Quote
kbkindle Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 kb here where did you see a hook that was a size #5 i never seen one kb Quote
noxpertjim Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Cabela's has the VMC Rapala trebles in size 5. I use the short shank trebles with no tangling issues. If you've used a Rapala crankbait, chances are you've used the short shank trebles, too. The DT-6 has a size 5 on the front. Quote
