Super User Sam Posted February 8, 2012 Super User Posted February 8, 2012 Did you know the Clint Eastwood Detroit ad was filmed in Los Angles and New Orleans? It was not filmed in Detroit. No other comments are allowed on this site regarding the Detroit ad as we do not post political observations. Man, I really could say something but I won't. Lateer. 1 Quote
Sfritr Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Sam I respect your opinion. My original post was not intended to be political as I said. I just tnought it was an inspirational patriotic message. I am curious to your thoughts 1 Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 9, 2012 Super User Posted February 9, 2012 I totally agree with Sfritr. People will always put their own spin on things in hopes of making someone else look bad. I proudly wore my " Made in Detroit " T- shirt Monday morning. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted February 9, 2012 Super User Posted February 9, 2012 ' I just tnought it was an inspirational patriotic message. I am curious to your thoughts The message is "We're chrysler, in order for us to be bought by Fiat, we need to sell cars to look profitable so we can be sold out." I don't see that being the American message clint eastwood was saying, but that's what's been said. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 9, 2012 Super User Posted February 9, 2012 Sfritr, I gave your query some thought and the acutal commerical I thought was excellent was the one where the kid graduates from college and thinks his parents gave him the Chevy. That was a funny and entertaining commerical and I will alway remember it was for the Chevy. The one commercial that I did not like was the David Beckham underware commercial. I have not heard of his brand of draws nor am I interested. What caught my eye was that the first glimpse of his draws is a jockstrap. That caught me totally off guard. Plus the fact that Beckham has ugly tatoos all over his body. The dog bribing his owner about the cat was a good one too. Doritos! 1 Quote
