Super User K_Mac Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Great football game. Two very good teams who left it out on the field. Even a good half time show as a bonus. My 20-17 prediction was pretty close. I was one for the post-season! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Dang, Madona sounds the same after all these years. I thought she was good. Madonna was excellent, the ensemble of dancers and singers were fantastic, the set was out of this world. The halftime show was as good as it gets........Madonna, a real pro ! Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Try being from Buffalo NY......... Touché lol our teams are awesome choke artists bills...... Sabers.... The sabers again lol Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 The guys that really won were those with a certain 9-0 combination in their office pools! The guy that really lost was Dave. He drove a Ford! Quote
Jim_M Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 My Pats came up short. Tough game. Giants made the big plays and earned the championship. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 What a game! Here I though Brady and company were going to clean house, and ended up losing at the end. The Giants running game was doing well and Eli to Manningham was the ticket to victory down the stretch! Congrats New York Giants! Only bone I have to pick is that I really thought Manningham should have won the MVP! Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 What a joke. I mean seriously. I did this with the Red Sox and now it appears i am forced to do it with the Pats. From this moment foward I am no longer interested in football/patriots. I can not waste my time/stress level/energy on sports teams that choke/do not deliver. Farewell football. LOL, atleast the Pats make Super Bowls, and the playoffs regularly. Youre obviously not a true fan of the pats or the game of football. anyways, ahmad bradshaw possibly cost me $450 when he scored that TD at the end. If he was able to stop and the giants ran the clock down and kicked a field goal it wouldve been 18-17, and i had an 8 for the giants and a 7 for the pats on the block sheet i was on. being a redskins fan i hate the giants anyways, now i really hate them, i couldve lived with them winning for $450 though... Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Yall can speak for your selves. I get fired up enough when my Raiders lose in the regular season. Why would I be thankful to watch them lose the superbowl? To quote the late Al Davis, "just win baby". Raider Nation Til I Rot!! Quote
ROCbass Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Try being from Buffalo NY......... and they are still fans. Sorry your team that has been great for a decade and won all those super bowls ....... must be tough. Great game. Good to see defense and running the ball. The best part about the game last night for me was that the 2011 football season ended with it, meaning it is now the 2012 season and my BIlls are undefeated! WOOHOO! Go Bills! Quote
tyrius. Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Yep I thought the same thing. Some singers only have a "studio " voice but not her. Sounds the same either live or in studio. I like the guy bouncing on the wire too! You do realize that that WAS her "studio" voice. She was lip syncing the whole thing. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 You do realize that that WAS her "studio" voice. She was lip syncing the whole thing. Haha yea I saw that this morning....I'm such a gullible idiot ...lol....I was hopin to sneak outta that post untouched but oh well...lol Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted February 7, 2012 Super User Posted February 7, 2012 I was hoping for a wardrope slip. Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted February 7, 2012 Super User Posted February 7, 2012 Heck, why not resurrect Whitney Houston for the half time show. She could "perform" as long as she only had to lip synch. Lip synching is lame. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted February 7, 2012 Super User Posted February 7, 2012 Yep, lip sinking is lame. The SB half time show has a long history being lame though. As far as SBs go it was a good show nevertheless IMO. While I'm not a big M fan, the NFL wanted a spectacle and that's what she gave them. Fishing Rhino I'm afraid it would take a time machine for Whitney. She once had a voice that would make angels weep. Now every time I see her wild eyed and semi-functional it makes me want to weep. She could have been one of the greats... Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted February 7, 2012 Super User Posted February 7, 2012 The visuals were spectacular, but, it's fairly easy to come up with something that dazzles technologically. All I can think of is that it was a very glittery, high tech, karaoke show, lip synching to the music. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 7, 2012 Super User Posted February 7, 2012 The choreography and dancers were great. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 i really dont care that she was lip synching. its got to be hard to sing and sing well when youre doing all that dancing and bouncing around. also just to mention, my sister said she seen madonna sing live at some event and that she was horrible live... another thing, the super bowl people try so hard for the halftime act to be a family friendly type artist or band. after the janet jackson nip slip we got nothing but old boring classic rock acts for 2-3 years. i like classic rock, but not at the superbowl hafltime show when its 60 year olds without much energy performing. then we got the prince guitar phallus shadow and now m.i.a. gave a middle finger this past show. i can see this going right back to lame boring acts who wont try to stun or shock anyone Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 7, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 7, 2012 Hmm... I don't think there would be any issues with country stars. King George, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, etc., etc. For the most part, C&W singers are solid citzens that can be counted on for wholesome family entertainment. I don't ever recall a single incident at the CMAs. 3 Quote
