Super User clayton86 Posted February 4, 2012 Super User Posted February 4, 2012 I'm looking for a work out suplement what do you guys take those that do. I'm not looking to bulk up but more energy really I gotta drop a few pounds befor bulking up. Alot of the guys in my unit are taking creatine, jacked 3d, noxplode. I just want something to give me more of a boost really I got some vitamins coming gnc mega men sport so that should help to. Food wise I'm at the mercy of the army and mres there is a catfish stand though. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 4, 2012 Super User Posted February 4, 2012 Winstrol, to cut the weight off. Dianabol stacked with some testosterone for bulking. Clenbuterol for after the 90 day cycle to get your body working normal. And for all yall out there that would crucify me for suggesting the REAL stuff instead of that fake stuff u buy at the store. I'm just having a bit of fun. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted February 4, 2012 Super User Posted February 4, 2012 I use Body Fortress NOS Blast from Wally World. Don't plan on sleeping! Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 4, 2012 Super User Posted February 4, 2012 Now in all seriousness. Cellucor NO3, works so much better than noexplode, and most other nitric oxide products. Stack with Cellucor P6 Extreme, you'll feel like the fricking hulk. No joke, the P6 is one of the most insane supplements I've ever taken. And at 100 bucks per 30 day supply it gets you frickin jacked. This stuff does what it claims to, and most likely will be banned within the next three years. Better get it while ya can. Anyway, mix some whey protein and creatine into the cycle as well. Brand isn't really important. Look for the whey with the most amount of protein per serving size. Whey protein is whey protein. As with juice cycle it in 90 day periods. 90 on 90 off, and so forth. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 4, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 4, 2012 Yeah my saw gunner is taking the cellucor stuff you mentioned I'll start up more once I'm in shape iv been running every day did a three mile yesterday all rolling hills made me feel good though to have my squad leader telling me to slow down instead of screaming at me to run faster and stop puking. I was smokin him and he is on all kinds of crap. Im just trying to get energy to run and trim down befor I hit the weights and bulk up. I'm still going to the gym just doing elipticals and bikes then leg lifts, inclined sit ups rocky sit ups all core and cardio. Plus the run to the gym is .73miles each way uphill there down hill back obviously. Quote

Super User Root beer Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Food. Proper food. 1 Quote
GrundleLove Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 You think cave men took supplements? No. And those cave people where jacked. Seriously, you really need to pump your body full of chemicals for a miniscule % more fat burn/energy? How very un manly of you. Why not just do what Root Beer said and eat right and go HAM at the gym. Quote
NCLifetimer Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Food. Proper food. +1, their is no substitute for the above. It will take longer compared to the artificial method, but once you stop taking the artificial stuff your body looses mass and eventually levels off to the point where you would be at with food anyways. In my opinion, you might as well start off natural, because thats the way you're going to end up anyways if you ever plan on stopping supplements. Sure supplements do have their place, if you want to gain mass fast their is no natural substitute. For your needs all you should need is a healthy diet(to drop those few that you want to) and some vitamins and a source of protein to keep you energy up. You need protein to build and substain muscles, if you cant get it on a army diet then some protein shakes should help. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 6, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 6, 2012 I did the natural thing my whole life never got me anywhere I was cut but what 135lb kid ain't lol. I used to eat pasta like it wa my job a dozen hardboiled eggs everyday plus what ever else I could shovel down the hatch. Iv always not liked the supplement and artificial way but it's tough keeping up with a squad of guys who all "juice" so I'm looking for something to give me a little boost in energy when I gotta dig. Quote
Bass XL Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 those cave people where jacked. I've never met one, so I wouldn't know -___- Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Recommend anything with similar results that aren't so expensive? As far as Nitric Oxide goes. Most all of them work. If your going for the powder, get one that's low sugar. Cold fusion makes some that's really good. All in all though they pretty much do the same thing. As for test kickers and what have you. Generally if its been on the market for three or more years it probably will not work. Ask the guy in the store for his recommendations. Ask him what "works" and tell him what your going for, build wise. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Food. Proper food. You are very correct in that statement. Food alone I'd the biggest part of the equation. And it is very possible to get jacked just off food alone. The biggest misunderstanding with what food you consume is quantity and type. Carb and protein loading are essential. Just ask Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler. They'll back me up on this. Now take a looksy at the amount of food they consume before and after lifting. Big muscles require a lot of food to build and sustain. I saw a video with Ronnie going over his daily routine, the man ate 12 chicken breast for breakfast, plus two enormous bowls of oatmeal, and 8 eggs. It's unreal the amount of food they consume. Well I gotta get back to work. I'll elaborate more on this later. Quote

Watch the extras on the movie the longest yard the new one they talk bout Goldberg and all the dudes there even Terry cruz and Bob sap eating like 10 chickens a day 60 some odd hard boiled eggs tons of cake. He'll ya need a full blown farm to feed 1 guy for a day. I do not want to be as big as them guys just need my pt score to get maxes out the sooner the better that means promotion points and there's some E5(Sgt) slots open and I wan to be up their on the stap list I got shooting and schools locked down on points just need pt score. What you don't want 40in. thighs like Ronnie's got? What all does pt score entail? Quote
Super User Root beer Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Why don't you just use energy gels, or energy chews by PowerBar or related products? If aren't concern with getting jack up, but concern with energy level just focus on potassium for cramps, and those energy chews with a lot of B vitamins? What I used when I need them on 15 miles plus a day backpacking trips, cycling, etc. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 6, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 6, 2012 What you don't want 40in. thighs like Ronnie's got? What all does pt score entail? 2 min push ups 2min of sit ups and 2 mile run. I haven't maxed it in 4 years and I'd really like to I don't even know what I need to max just know the bare min to pass. Iv been running 3mi a day plus just walking around from all the pre mob stuff we do im getting plenty of miles in and when I go to the gym I mostly work on my core with inclined sit ups with and without a medicine ball for weight, flutter kicks, leg lifts, regular crunches the rockies plus bike for 30 min or elipticals for 30 to help my cardio to get my run time down I need to cut like 4 minutes off my 2 mile to max the run. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 6, 2012 Super User Posted February 6, 2012 Well in that case. Keep working the Heck out in the gym. NO may help knock a little off your mile time due to increased circulation of blood. It aint gonna knock 4 mins off though. Glutamine, will aid in muscle recovery and decrease soreness of the muscles. Basically your just gonna have to push the hell outta yourself in the gym and with running. Go to failure once a week on your exercises and running. I know of only two things that can knock time off of cardio conditioning and time running. However, I am not mentioning their names on this site. Also I don't know enough about the side effects to recommend them to ya. I can get you huge. I can get you jacked, ripped, and enormous. Not that great at getting you fast and ripped. Quote

Not that great at getting you fast and ripped. just running will get my time down and I'm gonna go for the max at the end of deployment that gives me a Year to get my run under 13min my push ups to 75 in 2 min and sit ups at 80 in 2 min sit ups were always the hardest for me I always missed it by 1 or 2 from max it's just hard to pace sit ups for me. I'm headed to the gym in a hour and a half gotta let dinner settle I plan on doing 30-60s on the track and after every lap doing pull ups till fail then another lap 30-60 dips another lap pull ups and so on till I do 3 miles (6 laps here) then a run back to the barracks. It's gonna suck to cuz I'm sore from shots today got my ppd, smallpox, anthrax then blood draw so my arms are a little sore already. Quote
Jim_M Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Never taken supplements, can't help there. But, Beef, Potatoes, Banana Splits and Chocolate Milk Shakes. Seriously, it's all we used (40 years ago) in my football years... ...and about 2 hours a day on the Universal Gym (aka torture device) plus practice. Plenty big. Plenty strong. Quote
craww Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I've yet to hear it brought up, but I'd stress the importance of proper nutrient timing. You can work your butt off but if your body isn't getting what it needs at the right time ur killing yourself for diminishing returns. For example, U want a different protein in the early am than before Bed. Simple carbs are your best friend post workout, but bad at other times. Don't overlook your fiber intake... Etc, etc, etc. _ Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 14, 2012 I did the insanity work out today holy crap is that tough. Made it threw the whole thing though. Iv taken some jack3d pre work out but that's it I'm ordering some multi vitamins tomorrow as well to help sense I'm not getting the food I should it will help fill in holes that are missed from crapy army food. endless Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I cannot stand any GNC products! The stuff I was on before was OxyElite Pro, Kre-Alkalyn 1500 by Sci-fit(creatine),Optimen multi vitamins by ON, and for shakes 100% natural oats & whey by ON(Optimum nutrition) I only like 100% natural shakes cause all the weight gainer stuff like muscle milk(contains MSG), GNC brand, Up your MASS cause painful stomach pains cause of the high carbs and artificials in it. I was also drinking Xtend Aminos powder mix. A guy in Vitamin shoppe got me into these brands. Then I did my fish oil, can tuna fish, Quote
