im looking for a plastic worm that will stay afloat on the surface, and not just a suspend a few inches below the surface.

it must stay afloat with a 5/0 ewg worm hook, and high strength line.

im looking for something 4+ inches.

:o

thanks

All V&M brand worms are floaters I believe.  I know the finesse worms float, that's why I like them.  Also, BPS makes a floating worm and so does Berkley.  Check the Basspro website, they have several.

You'll have to be a little more specific.

At least 50% of all plastic worms float, maybe two thirds.

I think you're looking for the same worm that I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a plastic worm with the buoyancy to float a standard wire 3/0 Gamakatsu hook.

The Strike King 3x Floating Worm was THE worm for surface work,

which floated high on the surface during long pauses. Unfortunately, it seems that

most (all) tackle distributors have dropped the Floating Cyberflexxx Worm.

Danny Joe's Original Floaters are one of the best floating worms made IMO.

Very hard to find.

Brad

I'll say, they're not even in Danny Joe's catalog!

Manns jelly worms float, also charlies worms makes a high floater version.  I like them on that flat bottomed whatchamacallit jig with the screw in thingy.

How much clearer can I be?  ::o

Hety Catt,

Glad to see you are up this early.  Me, too.

I throw worms on top of lilly pads and have luck with them all, including Gulp!

Two years ago on the Nottoway River a bass jumped out of the water and hit the worm that I had just stopped moving on top of a lilly pad on the way down.

Shocked me to no end.

But he landed in the boat and helped me get my five bass limit in the tournament.

I use Strike King for my Shakey Head rigs although Ike says to use a regular worm so it does not stand up too straight but more on an angle.

Wish I could be more help on this subject.

Sinus and acid reflux  :o

I use floating worms when I want to slow the fall of a Texas Rig; they are killer on Wacky Rigs to (real slow fall rate).

The BPS branded floating worms do float, but the colors are horrible.  The 'green pumpkin' color is actually more of a lime green.
