Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 1, 2012 Super User Posted February 1, 2012 Hey jigfishn10,is that a SK tri-buzz? If you haven't tried one yet,i'm sure you'll like it..Love my cavitrons, but i had a cheap old, beat up tri-wing sitting in the truck that i put a new black/gold skirt on one bored lunch break.. last summer i was walking the banks of my favorite lake one VERY foggy,pea-soup evening on a last minute decision and only had a few lures in my truck at the time and put that sucker on and slammed some of the best bass of my entire season. Gives off a slow and low plopping sound! It is an old SK Buzz King Blade, but I made it on a different head. I couldn't find any more blades online, so I made a couple of more blades in different colors. You can't have just one, right? LOL Thanks for the feedback, I'm looking forward to fishing this, for sure! Quote

Super User 00 mod Posted February 3, 2012 Super User Posted February 3, 2012 ok well here it goes...... gunfish, spro frog, rage toad, cavitron buzzbait, but my number #1 bait without a doubt, that has only been mentioned in 1 post in 3 pages and it was the guys 3rd choice has to be............. Devils horse! Guys throw these more often! You will be amazed at what the tried and true lure can produce. Here let me help you with just a couple last years fish! these are just a couple devils horse pictures!! TRUST ME THEY WORK!! Jeff (I do not work for any lure company and I do not get paid by any lure company, but if they wish to after reading my post feel free to contact me! ) Quote
Bigbarge50 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I am with 00 Mod..... the classics JItterbug Popper (chug bug, Hula Popper) Torpedo Lots of people on here dislike the torpedo and say it catches dinks...... I will hapily catch just about any fish, large or small, jumping up and wacking a topwater. I also think it produces a large fish it buzzes right past. Those picks made me go straight to a storage box and move the old Devil's Horse from storage to in the box..... Torpedo might have to take a back seat. Quote
POPRG Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I can't believe that in 34 replies, no one has mentioned the mighty Jitterbug. Am I that old? Tom what chu talkin bout! the JB was mentioned in my post, and always have at least 3 in the box! This year i started fishing the bigger/jointed 5/8th ouncer, and i must say the quality has improved, and i dont think the smaller bass are ignoring it either at dusk!..how do you like the CRAZY CRAWLER..Thats one i forgot to mention..man,if you get it right,it just begs for a slob to slam it!! Super User Ratherbfishing Posted February 3, 2012 Super User Posted February 3, 2012 Without a doubt my favorite is the Heddon Torpedo. I've caught so many bass with this bait and a fair number of bluegill. You can fish it slow with occassional twitches or fast like a buzzbait. Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 The Ragetail Shad! I've caught more fish on the RT Shad than any other topwater lure. You can fish it through thick grass or brush, and it gets BIG fish! Quote
