My boat had a nasty little oxidation problem and since i didn't have anywhere close by that sold BTS that has been highly recommended i decided to use 3m restorer and wax. The end product was awesome and shines like a new boat. Heres some before / during/ and after pics although in the last pic it was gettin late and was in the shade.And sorry for the crappy phone pics.. Before During After Quote

You can reduce the problem by using a wax or other product that contains a UV inhibitor, and keeping it where the sun's rays cannot do their work on your gel coat. Ideally, a boat should be stored in a building. It's not only the gel coat. It will also protect your trailer tires. What is often referred to as dry rot when tires start cracking can most often be attributed to UV rays. It's why they sell covers for trailer wheels, especially those on mobile or motor homes. I don't do it, but it is a good idea to jack a trailer up so the tires are not bearing any weight when stored for the off season. Quote

Yea last year my cover tore and the boat had to sit for a couple of months before i could get another one. I've heard that about the uv rays . I was gonna put a good wax with the uv inhibitor on it after every thing was completed. Looks good. BTW, you can order BTS online. I thought about ordering it but then i'd have to pay shipping and i hate to pay more than what the product actually retails for. Its a defect in my genetic makeup i believe Quote
