Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 30, 2012 Global Moderator Posted January 30, 2012 First I had this 1/2oz football jig with some green pumpkin/purple skirt mixed with some brown and purple round rubber skirt. It's a bulky bait but I'm hoping it will stick a pig for me at Table Rock in May. Next is my wife's jig. She puts up with me always at my table tying jigs and the other day while we were at the tackle store getting tying materials she wanted to know if I'd make her one. I don't know if it will catch any fish but I think her little finesse jig turned out well. It's a little 1/8oz head so she shouldn't have any problem fishing it on her spinning rod at least. 1 Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 30, 2012 Super User Posted January 30, 2012 Pink will catch fish....I often catch slack from my buddy everytime i fish with something pink. He usually shuts up once i start outfishing him...lol Quote
bigbassctchr101 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I agree, you put this around some smallies and you'll be tying yourself one lol Quote
backwater4 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Nice baits. Like the pink, throw a little chart in there and it would make a great spinnerbait skirt. Quote
FL_Sharpshooter Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Fantastic looking jigs! I really like the bulkiness of the first one. Good job, keep at it! Quote
cadman Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I also agree, very nice looking jigs. I love the top one. I know my wife would definitely throw the pink one since she has had some luck on that color in the tournies she fishes with me. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted February 8, 2012 Super User Posted February 8, 2012 Hey now, don't go showing that purple rubber jig to anyone at the ROck. Keep that one under wraps. would ya? Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted February 8, 2012 Super User Posted February 8, 2012 I agree, you put this around some smallies and you'll be tying yourself one lol Yep, smallies react violently to vivd colors like that and I never thought about using that color on a jig> Great job!! Quote
