Finally had the chance to get out and fish a liittle while. A friend called and wanted to know if I wanted to go for a while, I said Heck Yeah!! We both thought that it might be a little tough, with the front that went through Friday. Low temps in the 20's and high temps in the low 50's. The water temp was 52. Only managed two bites, but they were some pretty nice ones. My first catch was 7lbs and a few hours later caught a 9lber.

Thanks guys!! Jigfishin is right. I caught both on a bait that I painted. The 9lber is now the biggest I have caught on something I painted. I wished I would have measured the 7lber. She has to be the fattest I have caught for her lenght.

Thanks Jigfishin for the kind words friend!! Good luck with your fishing this year!!

Some really nice fish and WTG! It seems that the jig bite is a big bite for several folks right now...

I just hope she makes it to her full potential!! I tried a jig with a Rage Craw on the back, but didn't have any luck this time out. I have caught some nice ones on that combo before.
