Will braided line(PP) dig into or harm the line guides on my Berkely Cherrywood rod? I would hate for it to harm my rod so help would be appreciated before I go out and buy braid.

I haven't had any problems with my rods, but they're not Cherrywoods either. It won't cost you anything to e-mail Berkley.

if you plan on using a spectra fiber(round) braided line then you should be all set. when braid first came out there was alot of problems with it destroying guides but the have come a long way with it. I use some braids that are almost as smooth as mono or flouro. I would still check with the manufacturerto be safe though.
