Super User eyedabassman Posted January 26, 2012 Super User Posted January 26, 2012 I do seminars for Bass Pro at there Spring Classic and I did get a e-mail today that Bass Pro is going back to the old Classic's!! *They are going to move all the boats outside and have all the tackle vendors back on the floor! Smart move on there part! Now you can talk to all the reps again and they will have specals from the vendors again. This should bring back some bigger crowds? And bigger names!! Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 26, 2012 Super User Posted January 26, 2012 That's great news. I may have to start going back to them. Quote
bassh8er Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Can you elaborate more on this? I've only been to the Classic the last 2 years. How is it going to be any different from my previous experiences? Quote

How is it going to be any different from my previous experiences? I have been doing seminars for Bass Pro for about 8 years now. And the old way they did there spring classic was to have all the tackle vendors in there boths with there products out for display. And the vendors would give out coupons and have 2 for one deals ect.! They had seminars tank demo's ( and they still do the seminars, tank demo's ). You could talk to all the reps for that tackle vendor. And some of the big name pro's would show up for a vendor that is a sponsor for them, it was great to be there. The crowds where big and it was elbow to elbow. But Bass Pro did get away from this format why, I don't know or understand, maybe it was a money thing for the vendors or Bass Pro! But it is good to see them going back to the old days,,now that was the fun times at the BP Spring Classic's! This IS great news!! Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted January 26, 2012 Super User Posted January 26, 2012 Also only been the past couple years and I've been very underwhelmed. Have to say that I am definitely looking forward to going back this year for both the vendors and new rod trade in sale. Thanks for the heads up. Quote
weezy109 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Those tank demos are a joke at the bass pro near Knoxville. Those fish will eat anything they throw in the tank. They couldn't even show lure action because the fish kept eating everything before they could even move it. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 The classic must vary from store to store. The only thing that has changed at the East Tennessee store was the dates, so all the stores have the same Classic dates. I have worked all of Classics at this store and I haven't noticed any changes except the dates......................Al Quote

Super User tomustang Posted January 26, 2012 Super User Posted January 26, 2012 Does this happen at every store or just at select ones? Quote
