I purchased a Pfleuger Trion GX Ultralight reel and a Berkely Cherrywood Ul rod roughly a month ago, they are rated for 2-6 lb line I have Stren 6lb mono on it now and was thinking about going with Berkely NanoFil or small braid. I am not farmiliar with either of the two so which am I better off going with? Is my reel/rod compatable for braid?

5lb Power Pro or 4lb Fluoro is what I'd go with.

My only comment is that you had better be an accomplished spinning reel angler to use 5lb braid with a sewing thread diameter. Gary Yamamoto uses thin braid. but he does not even go that thin. I recommend not going below 15lb/4lb diameter.

Not as hard as you make it sound. I like using 4lb or 5lb braid for trout fishing.
