Took a quick look at these today and have been thinking about them ever since. I know its basically a premier or mojo because of the scII blank, and similar guides, also made in Mexico. But the handle was very comfortable compared to the mojo and new split grip premiers. I have the "wacky" mojo and my index finger is always trying to find a good spot to rest since it is usually right on the edge of the cork grip. Good wacky rod but bad grip design for jerkbaits and others. The eyecon gives you a few more options in spinning rods and I am thinking the 6'3" m xf would be a great jerkbait and senko skipping rod. Has anyone else tired this yet?

Friend of mine has a M/L Eyecon spinning rod that he fishes grubs and small crankbaits with and likes it really well. Don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

Great minds think alike.....If I buy another spinning rod, it will probably be the 6'3" M/XF Eyecon. Unless I can find the same rod in the Avid line up lightly used for about the same $$. I too think it would be a good jerk bait, dock skipping, AND, drop shotting in the "cone" rod. The 6'3" ML rod would probably be the better drop shot rod, but the M would be the more versitile. One thing I did notice about the Eyecons, is the guides, while not micro guides, are smaller. IDK why? I also noticed alot of the techniques listed on the rods are verticle technigues, that probaby has something to do with it.

I just bought an Eyecon 6'6" for drop shotting. don't like the reel seats on the Mojo or Shimano spinning reels. the rod is for jigging walleyes but it feels great. can't use it for awhile but it feels very light and balanced with a Shimano Symetre. the eyes are much smaller than any of my other rods.

I also noticed the guides, especially the stripper guide, are smaller. I hope that it wont impact casting distance since I'd like to use it for jerkbaits. I don't think it will have much impact on skipping docks since I dont skip from very far away. It may help with drop shotting since it is a "vertical jigging" rod. I ordered one but will have to wait to use it for a few months.
