Speckled Trout Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Hello everyone. Been lurking on the site a while and enjoy it. Lots of good info on here. Mainly bass fish but I love to also go to south LA and inshore fish. Quote

Super User Sam Posted January 22, 2012 Super User Posted January 22, 2012 Welcome to the best bass forum on the Internet. Where are you in Louisiana? i grew up in New Orleans and fished a lot saltwater. And as you know, there is nothing better than throwing out a live shrimp and waiting to see what hits it. We also need as many LSU fans as possible, especially since the team bombed in the BCS game. When football season comes around the smack talk is great. So add your input to the posts. A friend from Richmond may be moving to Alexandria and I was thinking if there are any special baits you all are using in Louisiana that we may not be using in Virginia. If so, please let me know. Once again, welcome and we look forward to your questions and posts to the topics. Quote
WdyCrankbait Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Hey, Welcome to the Board! I am Sam's friend that might be moving to the central area of LA. It's a great website/resource that is here. Quote
Speckled Trout Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Thanks to everyone for all the replys. I'm from the NE part of the state. Monroe to be exact. And yes i am a diehard LSU fan. I'm actually an alumni. Still trying to get over the championship game but looking forward to next season. I think our team will be better next year. I usually fish Caney Lake. It's about 45 minutes from here. It's a pretty good bass lake. It used to be really good and seems to be on a comeback as of late. WDY- If you move down here let me know and I'll help all I can. Caney is probably a little over an hour drive from Alexandria and I should be able to put you on some fish during the summer. The lake can be tough but if you can find them in deep water Carolina rigging it can be fun. Thanks again. Quote
