Super User South FLA Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 NFC Giants at 49ers I am picking the Giants, although I will be pulling for the 49ers, since I despise any New York team. The New York defense did a great job against the Pack Attack, and with a Manning at the helm they will be a tough to stop. Nevertheless, I think if the 49ers can have Gore, Crabtree, and Davis firing on all cylinders like they have been in the playoffs we will have an exciting game on our hands. I am hoping traveling West for the New Yorkers will throw their timing off just enough to faulter, but Giants win this 20 to 13 over the sleeper 49ers! AFC Ravens at Patriots This is another matchup where I am picking another miserable team to win, since the only sports fan/team I despise more than New York is BOSTON. Although the Raven D is oppressive, Flacco is floundering and even if Brady has an off night I can't see the Ravens putting up enough offensive numbers with Flacco to outscore the Pats. I hope that the weak Pat D gives Flacco and company enough comfort in the pocket to score some points and that their defense can pressure Brady enough to make him make bad decisions, but in the end I am going to have to say the Pats will be on the field February 5th. Patriots 24 Ravens 17 I hope that I am wrong since I would love to see the Ravens and 49ers in the Superbowl so all of New York and Boston fans/teams can be miserable this winter, but sadly it won't happen. Superbowl XLVI Brady takes Eli's fire away and wins it BIG with William Stephen Belchick's legacy and EGO only getting bigger. Patriots 31 Giants 17 Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 NFC. I'm gonna take the 49ers. I just have trouble trusting the Giants. Still I think its gonna be a good game. AFC. I'm going with the Ravens. Ray Lewis just has to much drive and determination to lose. I just see him and his defense shutting down Brady. Superbowl. Ravens all the way. Same reason as for the Ravens winning the AFC. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 Without going in to too much detail, I'll take the Niners and the Ravens. The game in Candlestick is going to be an absolute war. I'd say the Giants have the advantage on paper, but I've got a feeling the Niners will pull it out. I know I picked the Ravens, but I'd expect to see the Pats win. Especially after the way they played last weekend. Good pair of games coming up. Looking forward to it. Quote
Red Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I am rooting for the Giants all the way. I am picking a NY vs BAL superbowl!! Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 AFC ~ I'm going with New England. NFC ~ I'm going with New York, only because I'm hoping the Patriots can even the score from 2007. A-Jay Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 I'll take the 49ers VS. Baltimore with the niners taking home a ring. I like a good comeback story. Quote
GLADES Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 49ers vs pats...pats win the superbowl in an exciting close game Quote
SuskyDude Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 NFC Giants over SF. They are as tough as anbody on the road, the defense is clicking and Eli is hot.(Plus I'm a Giants fan ) AFC New England over Baltimore Tom Brady is playing out of his mind. Suberbowl GIANTS WIN BABY! They're on a mission and have Brady's number. Defense wins championships! Quote
JoePhish Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Giants are the most complete team left. The other 3 are somewhat one dimensional. They are the healthiest they have been all season and are playing their best ball right now. Anyone counting them out hasn't watched much football this season, at least not Giants' football. Giants over SF NE over Bal NYG over NE Quote
thetank86 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Giants and Pats rematch and the Giants are taking that 34 to 17 Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 NE vs San Fran.........winner NE Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 49ers kill another hot streak but fall to the Pats 31-28 in a nail biter. Belichick will now be known as the Harbaugh killer. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 49ers vs. Pats. Pats win it all, again!!! Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted January 17, 2012 Super User Posted January 17, 2012 Giants over Pats in OT. An Overtime Super Bowl Loss ~ J you're just Evil. A-Jay Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted January 18, 2012 Super User Posted January 18, 2012 Wow, no one thinks much of the Ravens. Yeah their offense isn't the greatest, but their defense is phenomenal. If the D can put the points on the board, the offense becomes a little less of factor. Quote

Super User South FLA Posted January 23, 2012 Author Super User Posted January 23, 2012 You're all smoking crack. Niners over Giants Ravens over Pats. Harbough Bowl. Niners win. It. All. Who is on the sauce? Both games, could have gone either way though, would have loved to see if the 49ers could have advanced the ball past third down, too bad the return punt was muffed. I also believe the Ravens had a touchdown pass at the end of the game to win it, nevertheless Billy Cundiff had a chance to send it to overtime and pulled an FSU. I bet Billy will not be around next year! Hope the Superbowl is as exciting to watch as the divisional champion games were, but I doubt it, Patriots win big as predicted. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 23, 2012 Super User Posted January 23, 2012 Billy Cundiff had a chance to send it to overtime and pulled an FSU. You're showing your age. That move is called a Scott Norwood in these parts, LOL. Quote

Actually, Kyle Williams muffed two punts, one that glanced off his knee and led to a Giants touchdown, and the fumble in overtime that led to the Giants winning field goal. This guy has to be bummed out. Quote
