ChiCityBasser Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Looking for a flipping and pitching rod and I see this one quite often on ebay for roughly $95. It's a 7'1" rod rated for 1/4 - 1.5 oz and Hvy power. Looking for any feedback from anyone using the rod. Thanks Quote
dude loves to fish Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 It is a great rod. They do not make the Argon's anymore and if you can get your hands on it for that price I would say go for it. I also have the Argon cranking rod and love it. The 7'1" is very light and sensitive and that is a plus for flipping all day. They also have a great flipping stick in the magnesium series to. Quote
supreme Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I have that rod and I use it for flipping, Frogs & will try it out on swim baits this season. Quote
LAO162 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I have a couple Argons in lighter weights. If I had a need for a flipping stick, I'd probably own the 7'1" Argon if I wasn't spending the money on a Helium. Give they guys at Kistler a call and ask them about the action and performance. They love to talk and can help you to set your expectations. They also have an Argon section in their forum. Leon Quote
