Looking at purchasing a new bass boat I've had triton and fisher both purchased used i'm going to keep the fisher for a dedicated Crappie fishing boat also for a back up basser. I've got about 45000 to spend can't quite get a 21' ranger for that any other brands y'all like for that money.

Are you looking for a 21' boat, or a quality rig? Have you looked into Charger or Legend?

As much quality as I can get for my money and as long and wide as I can get it. Haven't heard of charger boats seen a few legends but never riden in one I like the rod lockers. And tackle storage but curious bout the ride

Why don't you look at a demo .... You should be able to get a great buy on one. I know of a Ranger Z522 ... yes 22 .... with new extended warrnaties and new titles in absolutely perfect condition for not much more than that .... already with over $6000 in Electronics

Hey, nothing for nothing , but if the BASS angler of the year can fish out of a Nitro that would be good enough for me...

I've looked at them close to figuring it out

Well...just to be fair...I'm pretty sure KVD gets a new boat every year so longevity isn't high on his list of concerns. Not that I wouldn't mind a new Z9 myself.

I think you should take a serious look at Bass Cat...they also have LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE STRUCTURAL WARRANTY

Look at a Phoenix Boat. Gary has been around the bass boat industry a long time and makes a good quality boat. My dad ran a Nitro for 8 years and never had a problem with it. He kept it well maintained. The motor had over a 1000hrs on it when he sold it.

I believe I'm going with a stratos 201 found one with low hours and its only 28000 its a dealer demo deal

What I have done in the past is find a really good hull without a motor or with a junk motor and just put a brand new motor on it. A hull is a hull. Buy an older gambler and throw a new motor on it, put whatever electronics you want on it and bang a 60,000 dollar boat for half the price.

Definately check out a Phoenix. I run a 619 Pro with a 200 Merc Pro XS and absolutely love it! I decked it out with Humminbird 998c / 958c Foretrex 101, Power pole, upgraded everything, tandem trailer and still got it for ALOT less than i could get the BC Sabre FTD with the same options, plus its 19'8". I ran a Stratos all last year, not a bad boat either, handled well, but I can't say enough for Mark and the guys at Phoenix, the customer service is nothing short of awesome! Ride, handling, fishability, you can tell fishermen designed this boat! Good luck!
