llPa1nll Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Who do you have Tom Brady and the New England Patriots or Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos? Their records New England Patriots 13-3, Denver Broncos 8-8. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 The Pats and Brady will not let this game slip away like the previous 2 playoff games. Tebow and the Broncos got some confidence beating a banged up Pittsburgh, at home, but this game will be different for them. I felt nervous about the Ravens and Jets games the last 2 trips, but this one doesn't worry me. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 I'm hoping New England runs the score up, and embarasses Denver. 1 Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 Sorry Denver, unless New England makes a bunch of mistakes I can't see Denver winning this game. I'm more concerned about the Saints vs. 49'ers game. This one is gonna be a GOOD game. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 I know I'm goin against everything I've said all season. I hope Denver beats the breaks off of them. Maybe then the AFC West haters will shut up. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I'm hoping Denver wins. I'm not a Pats fan at all. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 9, 2012 Super User Posted January 9, 2012 I have always liked Tom Brady. Solid citizen with the moxie to marry a women who makes more money than he does! As the world's most beautiful woman and foremost model, she's probably better known than he is. They appear to be the perfect couple. As far as the game goes, Vegas has the line at 14 last time I checked. That sounds about right to me. It will take a miracle for Denver to beat New England, but Bronco Fans believe in miracles! 316 passing yards, with a 31.6 average. There's just something uncanny about Tim Tebow and 3:16. Quote

The one that got away Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Considering how the Pats haven't won a single playoff game in almost five years, and the Bruins (2011), Sox(2007), and Celtics (2008) have all won titles since then, there is reason for concern - at a minimum - for Pats fans. The last two playoff games for the Pats have both been at home - the Ravens beat the snot out of them a couple years ago and then the Jets upset them. It's been a long time. To put it in perspective, the last time the Pats won a playoff game, a guy basically no one had ever heard of back then is now our President. If Denver turns the ball over like they did last time, the Pats should be fine. If not, it should be a pretty close game. I think the Pats will win, but that is not a given by any stretch. Right now, Denver's playing with house money and there is no pressure on them at all, which makes them dangerous. Quote

llPa1nll Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Funny video of Jimmy Fallon poking fun of Tim Tebow, as David Bowie. 1 Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted January 13, 2012 Super User Posted January 13, 2012 This week the 3:16 reference may end up being 3 completions in 16 attempts.... 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted January 13, 2012 Super User Posted January 13, 2012 That's a pretty funny video - Jimmy Fallon does a good job on that. As for the game - I'm a Pats fan. Back when New England had players who actually played Defense, I was less worried during playoff games. But when I combines the last few playoff losses with the Heart breaker in 2007, I have serious doubt going into all of these games. How many times can they spot teams so many points and still come back to win ? Though the majority of fans and "analyists" alike are predicting the Pats to win this by a pretty good margin, I am Far less confident and believe it's more like a 50 / 50 deal. Could go either way. I'd love to see the Pats Hammer them, not because I dislike Denver or Tim Tebow, Just to advance to the next game. But I would not be too surprised if The Bronco's get to Brady Early and Often and the Denver running game gets going to where New England has to put more players on the line and then TT heaves a few over their heads - just like the Steelers game. Super User A-Jay Posted January 15, 2012 Super User Posted January 15, 2012 After New England dropped a serious Hurt Bomb on Denver Saturday, this little anecdote was floating around facebook ~ God asks Aaron Rodgers: "What do you believe?" Rodgers says, "I believe in hard work, and in staying true to family and friends.” God can't help but see the goodness of Rodgers and offers him a seat to his left. Then God turns to Tim Tebow and says, "What do you believe?" Tebow says, "I believe in your total goodness, love and generosity and that you have given all to mankind.” God is greatly moved by Tebow’s eloquence, and offers him a seat to his right. Finally, God turns to Tom Brady: "And you, Tom, what do you believe?" Tom replies, "I believe you're in my seat." 1 Quote
