Fished Shearon Harris today for 5hrs. Caught one small bass that would go maybe 1.5lb. Had about 5 bites total, lost a decent bass that I fought for a couple of seconds as a result of a poor hook set. Guess I got excited with the bite! Water temps were 49 degrees, partly cloudy, windy, fishing main lake creek channels 20-25ft. All my bites came on a drop shot rig with finess worms.

I also threw lipless cranks, Alabama rig, shad rap, texas rig, and even slow rolled a spinner bait but came up empty on all of those.

Not a lot of fish but the good news is that you got one and have soft water!

My lakes here in TN were iced over at this time last year. I did OK thru January 2nd but then had water temps drop into the 30s and the bite stopped for me. Water has warmed back up a bit but I've been getting skunked the past few days - but at least when I cast, the lure makes a splash instead of skidding across the ice
