-nick- Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I noticed a seller calling the lures Lucky craft not Lucky Craft and read feedback and apparently it's not a real lucky craft lure. Does anybody have any of the Lucky craft's lures with the lower case c? If so is there a difference? They look just like the real Lucky Craft lures. Quote
BlakeMolone Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 The seller from hong kong that starts all his bids at .01? Most of his feedback was good actualy and only a few people thought it was not the real thing. He says that they are refurbished. Quote

I mean it looks EXACTLY the same and on pointers it even says pointer sp on them. I don't understand why people put on feedback they got what they deserved Lucky crafts not Lucky Crafts. And they said Craft is different than craft, yet the lures are IDENTICAL to the true Lucky Crafts. Quote

The Chinese can knock off anything and that is what happened here. I have a couple and they do not suspend like the real deal but if you can get one for $6 they are not a bad bait. Allen Quote
bassinfla82 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 one thing tho, some times you do get a bait thats got small scratchs on it.. So I agree with the other post on here the bait you see in the pic isnt the bait you get... but like i said ive always been happy and never felt I was screwed at 6 bucks a pop there a good deal... and as the other said some times the pointers wont suspend they raise slowly not all of them ide say 1 out of 3 dont suspend and I dont make a big fuss over that. Allen I've bought some 128 pointers and G-Splashes from him, won them for .99 cent and 6.00 shipping... I have looked them over very well and the look legit and run beautiful... if they are fake some one did a hell of a job.. all his lures come with out package and are said to be refurbs... I believe him and have bought more then 30 LC's from him and never once been upset.. He also sells some that are from the US I guess there drop shipped because hes over seas however they was TRASH!!!!! the popper wouldnt even float lmao... but all the LC's look, run and I totally believe there LC's... shipping also rocks when I buy from him ive never waited more then 5 days for a order and every time ive bought 8+ lures at a time ive ALWAYS got some type of freebi... IMHO First class seller. Quote
bladeslinger Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I unfortunately was suckered for a bunch of these. They are definitely fakes. The g-splash bearing does no move in the LC, these slide side to side. The fake has a smaller and duller BB. Molding injection point is different, figure 8's are different. They suck. The fake LV 100's do not have brass and glass bb.s, unlike the LC The pointer minnows really suck. Again very noticeable when you compare the bearings. Beware. Seller named Hootcrazed. As they say, if it looks too good to be true it probably isn't. > Quote
sodaksker Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Unfortunately I also was just "lured" into this "hootcrazed" buying trap. I ordered 6 pointers, got them all for 1 cent plus $6 shipping for each bait. The colors were a little off but, the big kicker was that the did not suspend. They do indeed look like real Lucky craft baits. The pointers have a great action other than not suspending. I think I could put a few suspend dots on them and make them work. Anyway, I did send them an email stating that they did not suspend. They asked for the item numbers and stated they would give me a full refund. We will see how it turns out. Quote
Hellbenderman Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I bought what appeared to be two Lucky Craft Live pointers. They were not, but I was aware that they looked just a bit off, and did not have the feathered tail, and I did not pay much for them, so I don't feel cheated. However, They suck. First, while the paint job was ok, the hooks were cheap crap. Second, the segmented parts were all "glued" together by paint and coating. It took about an hour to cut out all the crap between the segments on just one lure. The crap was also between the two wires that run the length of the lure. The segments moved and had to be re-spaced, and they did not suspend, but dropped like a log. I will use them to quick troll in trees and won't feel bad when I lose them! The lesson is learned again. There is a reason, Lucky Craft is expensive, they work just like they say and they aren't made with cheap crap. Don't expect these knockoffs to equal the original. If it doesn't come new in the proper package, don't waste your money. It ain't Lucky Craft! Quote
nitro929 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 i wonderd about this myself , how can he call them lucky craft, i did not notice the diff in caps. lol the guy who said the japan can knock of anything thats where they come from japan.. Quote

Super User 5bass Posted August 21, 2009 Super User Posted August 21, 2009 I got a few of the fake Pointers in a trade a while back. They are pretty much dead on with the shape/design but the color schemes that were on the baits I got is what I noticed right away. Lucky Craft doesn't have the colors I got in that trade. I guess I need to throw 'em and see what's up.... Quote
fats69 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Once you guys posted the guys name I went on ebay and looked up one of his auctions and sent him a message. This is the reply I got back: "Hello, thank you for your email. We got these lures from a Japanese used lure supplier, we were told they are authentic, if you think they are not, we have no problem refund your payment. We will contact our supplier to find out the authenticity about these lures and will get back to you." thank you for the notice." If I hear anything else I'll let you know Fatman Quote
Super User T-rig Posted August 22, 2009 Super User Posted August 22, 2009 I only had to take a look to see that those baits are fakes. Take a look at the letters and the hardware. Quote
Steven Ladner Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I stupidly bought a few. They look like great baits, but they aren't lucky crafts. Ended up using them to do repaints on. Quote
The_Natural Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I purchased 4 Lucky Craft LV-100's in ghost minnow from him, and the paint job was spot on. The baits looked like the pictures of the LV-100 I've seen....I don't own any LV-100's to compare. The thing is; this guy could make thousands of dollars as a legitimate business owner is he just came clean. He probably sells the best knockoffs of anyone. Quote
JohnMac Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Idk for 6-8 bucks i didnt think it sounded like to bad a deal. At least they look good 8-) Quote
