I like them. Never owned a pair of Costas so I cant compare the two. I have a big head and they fit comfortably.and securely. I'v had them for 3 years now and they haven't gotten scratched up, (but I only wear them on the boat). As far as polarization, I don't believe they are better or worse than any other pair I've owned.

The Costas are worth the extra cash, trust me. I have a pair of permits with the 580G Green mirror and it is flawless.

I got the free pair of WileyX's when I bout an ABU, but I didn't care for them. The polarization isn't as great, can't even compare, and because they are poly-carbonate lenses they scratched pretty easily. Granted I did wear them everywhere, not just when fishing. The one good think about WIleys I will say is, the lenses are darn near indestructible. They can take one hell of a beating.

My costas have never scratched, and have never shattered. And the vision is SUPERB. Just make sure you try them on before you buy, because each frame style's size runs different. And the costas will be a bit heavier because of the glass lenses.

I also recommend buying on eBay. That's what I did, and got them for about 150. Just make sure they come with the original box and paperwork.

Depends on what you are comparing them to ..Costas with the 400 poly lens is gonna be about the same in all aspects of polorization, but costas with the 580 glass lens there will be a huge difference. The 580 lens is by far the best for fishing IMO but they will cost ya.

I got two pairs of the Costa 580 glasses. One is the green glass the other is the blue. The blue are waiting for me to acquire the money to send them off for repair. Anyway the Costas are amazing. The polarization is night and day between my old Oakley's and the other polarized glasses I've tried.

Side note. DO NOT wear them without a Costas keeper or sunglass leash. DO NOT let them fall from your head and land on a ceramic tile floor (my blue pair). DO NOT let a two year old grab them off a table, put them on and then trip down a stair and land on them (my first green pair). But on the plus side, if you do break them ship them back for repair, and they'll usually charge a hundred or less to have them fixed or send you a new pair for a few dollars more than the repair price.

I'm on my second pair of Wiley X Jakes. The first pair broke after about a year of wearing them everyday, all day long. I called Wiley and to find out how to get them fixed and they sent me a new pair for $7 in shipping. I work outside and wear them anytime the sun is up and they are the most comfortable and have the best optical quality I have ever seen.

I have a pair of WileyX Zak's and they are light weight, but other than that I have nothing else good to say about them. They don't block out enough light, their polarized lenses are garbage, they weren't very comfortable, and their warranties are worthless. I had an issue with 1 of my lenses, 4 months after I bought my glasses. They were still under warranty, and they wouldn't do a thing for me. Their solution was sending them the glasses, paying $75 to have new lenses put in, and then pay $10 shipping to get my glasses back.

If you are looking for an inexpensive pair of glasses, check out Strike Kings glasses. They are cheap, light, comfortable, and they have some decent lenses for what the glasses cost. Also, Solar Bat's are decent glasses for the money. They have an awesome yellow lens and their mossback green lens is awesome too. Like some of the guys above, I like Costa. Only issue I have with those is they are a bit pricey for my small budget.
