Title says it all. Never done this before but have wanted to for quite some time. I told my wife that all I wanted for Christmas from my family & hers was some money so I could give this a try. Being the wonderful wife that she is she obliged and got everyone to put a little money towards my lure making endeavor. Here is my first batch. Nothing special at all but I can already tell that I'm going to have a ton of fun with this for years to come.

The bottom right was the starting color but I had to change colors as I reheated due to the fact that I don't have the hang of this yet :Idontknow: . However, I know that all colors will get bit.

Those look pretty fricken good! You sure that was your first time? Great job bassman31783! My endeaver for 2012 is to make some tubes. Jig Man gave me a ton of 411, so I hope my first batch comes out 1/2 as good as yours.

Keep up the good work!

BTW, those won't work in TX waters, you may have to send them north...LOL

Did you make those from a store bought mold or one you made yourself?

Those will work just fine of the fish in North Texas and I should know :)

Judging from those tails, I'd say that is a Caney Creek mold. I just got thier Bigfoot Frog mold which has a pair of that style feet.

Welcome to the addiction. :)

That's exactly where I got the mold from. I will also be purchasing the Bigfoot mold at a later date. It just looks too good to not have.

Like Fuzzygrub said "welcome to the addiction" I started out with a pint of plastic and one stick mold. Now I'm running out of space to store all the additives, colours and glitters and there must be at least 25 molds. Enjoy
