pondassasin Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 I was wondering if any one is willing to weigh a zoom ultra vibe speed worm rigged with a 4/0 superline hook. I know its random, I have been wondering for a while now. Thanks! Quote
brushhoggin Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 enough to compensate for a bullet weight if that's what you're gettin at. your cast distance/fall rate will obviously suffer a bit Quote
Super User Marty Posted January 6, 2012 Super User Posted January 6, 2012 A few years ago I weighed various soft plastics on a non-precision, but reasonably accurate, kitchen scale. I weighed multiple worms of each type so as to minimize any error and wrote down the results. It says .24 oz. for the Ultra-Vibe Speed Worm. I just now weighed 10 EWG hooks, size 4/0, but not superline. The 10 of them went 1/4 oz, so one hook would be about .025 oz. If you assume the superline hook is 50% heavier, then it would weigh .0375 oz., or about .28 oz. combined with the worm. Quote
