Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has tried or compared the picasso shakedown shakey head with the gamakatsu skip gap shakeyhead. looking for some reviews on them. thanks!

I'd take the Picasso every, single time. The skip gap has a rotten hookup ratio, dunno why, it just does. The Picasso has the Ti spring wire so it collapses pretty easily.

The Skipgap hook has the hook point pointed at the hook eye, that is what causes missed hooksets. Same as the EWG hooks.

I agree 100% with this one. The Picasso is my go to shakyhead.

I just got some zenith shakey heads from siebert outdoors. I really like the looks of them. Gman makes some great stuff. Anyone ever try them? I've never tried the Picasso, they might be next.

I'm confused. I love the skipgap shakeyheads because they DON'T have the hook point pointed at the hook eye. I have never had hook up issues with them, because they aren't like EWG hooks...am I missing something here?

I see what you're saying, Wayne. That could be a large part of it, the other, though, is that so often the plastic is just balled up on the shank of the hook, half way around the bend. It's like i get really poor penetration from them.
