I've seen saltwater guys use it. It doesn't have the best reviews for freshwater though. Bill Dance also swore by Stren until they stopped sponsoring him or hi seas upped the ante. There are much better lines out there for less money. 1 Quote
NCLifetimer Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I've used Hi Seas flouro in the past and use hi seas copolymer on one of my reels. Main reason i bought it initially was to support a small local bait shop, and it turned out to be good line. The flouro preformed excellently, but not any better than trilene 100%, and trilene is a little cheaper where i shop. The copolymer is preforming well. Both lines have little memory and great strength in my experience. Quote
0119 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 They're not a new company, just not well known out of Europe. Years ago I found their Black Widow co poly thru shark river. It is an excellent line and seemed made for spinning reels. Back then they had factories in Portugal and Germany. If I could find it again I'd use it. Quote

BINGO!!!! Have you seen his commercial where he takes the box of Stren and throws it away over his shoulder? First time I've ever seen anybody do that to an ex-sponsor. Quote

trevor Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I can only speak for the high test saltwater lines, but those are really great lines. Quote
