They have that in the 300e and the 300ej jigging model.... Looks like a simple update.

it is double the size and weight of 300ej. It's called TranX

it has cap of mono 30/160, Max drag of 25lbs and it weights 20.0z. The 300ej weights 10.5oz.

Wow, I can't see that applying to anything bass related. But bigger game, sounds pretty sweet!

You're not doing them any favors, at that price they are loosing money.

I would 100% respect a business saying that they could not match a low price guarantee if they were truly losing money. I will always respect honesty. However, they are probably the largest online bass retailer in the country (likely sell every bit as many Shimano products as Cabelas) and paid much less than $120 for all of their Stradics... it would cut their profit margin but far from make them lose money. I just had another TW order arrive today... we've already made up.

If you're on the highest level, you'll do 28 points at MSRP on high end shimano reels. so if they sold the 2500 at (119x2)-20/2 (you do the math) with free shipping they are loosing money, and I'm not even factoring shipping from the vendor and overhead. I know it may not seem like it in this bubble, but TW is a tiny enterprise, cut them some slack. Oh, and shimano is the Nike of fishing, and I don't mean that as a complement.

Hmmm... I too am wondering if Shimano has something up their sleeve with the CI4. Maybe adding "X-Ship" to them? :Idontknow:

I was going to pick up another CI4, but I think I'll hold off for a while. :D

This is definitely news to me. There is a retailer (owner) out of state that offered me an opened ended 30% discount on any premium Shimano and G Loomis gear I would like to buy. He only has 3 stores and I highly doubt that he is offering me this deal so he can lose money. However, you appear to know some "inside" info so I will just let this one go. Once again, it's all good with TW.

No trying to be a jerk by the way, but "loose" means something is not tight.

I think a Cabela's computer dude discounted the wrong Stratic and it was caught and removed. Just a thought.

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking that he was just supposed to mark down the Stradic FI's and accidentally extended it to the CI4's. Reminds me of when Gander Mountain had the Revo spinning reels down to $99 for a couple days earlier this year... definitely a mistake.

LOL... I hate math!

Anyhow, I can't believe that any vendor would sell the CI4's at cost, never mind below cost unless they are being reimbursed by Shimano (for whatever reason) or somebody just made a mistake. The CI4's are a pretty darn good selling reel from what I've heard.

I think it was a mistake. The sale was done as fast as it started and now they don't even have a ci4 to look at online.

I'm a couple of miles from a cabelas store so I went down there and grabbed the last 2. The sales guy at the fishing counter was doubting the fact that they were on sale while he was looking it up. What sux is I had to pay tax on them vs. no tax online.
