'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even bed lice;

The rods were prepared with care,

In hopes that dawn would soon would be there;

The fisherman were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of plump bass danced in their heads;

with son in his 'buff headwear, and I in my FSU cap,

Had just settled down for a long night's nap,

When out in the garage there was a clatter,

I jumped from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the garage I flew like a flash,

Opened up the door with a strong force.

The compartment on the Ranger had fallen closed

breaking a guide off my new fishing pole,

When, what to my reddened eyes should appear,

But Kevin VanDam, and eight brand new reels,

With Jimmy Houston driving the Nitro, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be Angler of the Year.

More rapid than eagles his sponsors they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Strike King! now, Quantum! now, Humminbird and Mercury!

On, Hydrowave! on Mustad! on, Motorguide and Plano!

To the Big "O"! To the Lake of the Ozarks!

Now plane away! hole-shot away! run away all!"

As line cuttings fly,

When they meet with some structure, he cast out a lure,

So up to the house-top the best fisherman flew,

With the a boat full of goodies, and KVD too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard in the garage

The laughing and "ol' son" of Martin's voice.

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,

Down the hall came Roland with a bound.

He was dressed all in Columbia, from his head to his foot,

And his clothes were tarnished with chartreuse and line conditioner;

A bundle of traps he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a tournament fisherman opening his sack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! His laugh marks were deep!

His cheeks were well browned, his nose like a cherry!

His grinning mouth was bent like a rod,

And the hair of his head was yellow, sunburned;

He had a broad face and a sow's belly,

That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of senkos.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old liar,

With a twist of his visor,

He made me know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the Bullet and Ranger compartments; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his red nose,

And giving a nod, out the door he went;

He sprang to his boat, to his sponsors gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like a Stroker.

But I heard him yell "Ol'Son " as he planed out of sight,

Nothin was biting... So away in the nitro I flew.....

...To a new spot, with lots more danger, had to dump the Nitro and hop in my Ranger.....

A Ranger is nice but I like my Triton at WOT it is a real go getter....

A Triton will frighten, a Bullet will enlighten
