Picked up one of the 683 Medium Extra Fast Powell Max Spinning Rods for $90! It came today and my mom hid it in the basement thinking it was a Christmas present :D Anyway got it out on the water took a few casts and I like it a lot. Its super light and strong and seems like a perfect dropshot/weightless worm rod. Cant wait to hook into one in the spring!

My dad just got the same rod. It feels great. He mounted a Shimano Saros on it and it is ready to go for next season!

My favorite spinning rod by far. I wish I had money to pick up another one, they are all sold out now. :(

Don't disregard the Okuma C3 rods either....another excellent rod for a great price.

I love my Powell spinning rod!

Yup. Great rods. I love my 733 Max too. Just got an used Symetre to replace the old Sonora that was on it.

Check out how well this baby balances, and that's without any line on the reel!

Can't wait for my football jig Powell to reach me next week. Great rods, great company, and great customer service.

All of my rods are powell max and they are awesome! quick story my friend and I were fishing a tournament and the bites were super lite and I was killin em while he couldn't catch a cold using the same bait. I loaned him one of my powells and he quickly boated his limit. His rod was a browning so not exactly a crapper but was no match for the powell max baby!
