JacobK Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I recently purchased two Strike King "KVD" Spinnerbaits and i'm honestly quite impressed. 1) The quality of the skirt seems a bit higher than the regular booyahs that i've purchased. 2) The skirt also includes the "Magic Tail" system which is just a couple strands of longer skirt which add tons of action and bulk. 3) They also come with a FREE trailer hook! not badd! 4) last but not least it's one of two indiana blade designs that BPS had in stock so i opted for the KVD series because of the blade and color choice, color #34 looks amazing. CONS: 1) Once in a while the "Magic Tail" gets stuck in the blades which will cause your cast to be fouled. All in all i think they're a decent off the shelf spinner bait. I'm sure there are many other better spinners out there but they aren't available on the shelves of any of my local tackle shops. Quote
skillet Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I got one in the "Sexy Shad" color. Haven't go a chance to give it a try yet. I don't use a trailer hook. I'm usually throwing spinners in stuff almost as bad as where I'll throw jigs ... skillet Quote
KevO Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I have a few of 'em but my booyah's out produce them 3-1. Not sure why sometimes I use both same color and everything and the booyah still catch more fish. Quote
basser89 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 The bluegill and smokey shad are two of my favorites! Quote
Super User Tin Posted August 19, 2009 Super User Posted August 19, 2009 When they first came out I had three of the arms reak right above the blades on fish. I went to War Eagle and never went back. But I still love that sunfish color. Quote
