CAdeltaLipRipper Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Is anyone else predicting this to be an incredibly boring bcs championship?its going to be field goals all night 1 Quote
lsufan334 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Well for a fan of SEC it wont be boring. There WILL be touchdowns scored this game. I think it will be a close game through 3.5 qtrs. LSU will hold on to 17-14 lead with about 6 mins left. Bama will have a 4th and 2 on LSU 40 and conservative Nick will punt it away and LSU will drive the field and score with about 2 mins left in game win 24-14. And I NEVER predict games. Quote
SDoolittle Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 its going to be field goals all night And missed field goals! Quote
jeremyt Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 To me this is what's wrong with the BCS. LSU already beat Bama once so what's the point of the game? I am not sure if I will even watch it. 1 Quote
Super User Marty Posted December 20, 2011 Super User Posted December 20, 2011 To me this is what's wrong with the BCS. To some people this is what's RIGHT with the BCS. Yes, a lot of people don't like the rematch, including me, but the function of the BCS is to match the two best teams and there's an excellent case to be made for these being the two best teams in the country. Over the years it has given us a number of games that couldn't have happened under the old system. Quote
CAdeltaLipRipper Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 Im pretty sure the bcs is rigged somewhat, because, how is it that Stanford (my favorite team) loses to a BA team like Oregon and moves down 5 or 6 spots, and Oregon loses to USC which is a BA team and moves down like 6 or 7 spots, but nooooo when OSU loses to an unranked 5-5 Iowa team they drop 2 spots?thats horse crap. You are correct the BCS is 10 fold better than the old system, but it's still broke. I don' have the solution, someone much smarter than me will have to figure that out, but when you have good teams that go undefeated that don't get a shot, but a team with a loss still gets a shot at the national title then something is wrong. Add to that, the national title game is a rematch from earlier in the year it just takes away from some of the mystique of the game. Quote
jeremyt Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Geez. I apologize to all who just read that. I meant every word I said but I think I could have used a few more commas to butcher it a little more. I was going to edit it but I have had a few it's past 10 and I am still trying to figure this iPad out. Spell check is great. I think Long Mike needs to create a grammar check. Quote

I agree with you too and I don't know if there's a way to do it that people won't complain about. In the meantime, if anyone watched some of the "minor" games this past weekend, like UL-Lafayette-San Diego or Ohio-Utah State, you couldn't find games with more drama and excitement at any level, BCS, NFL or anything else. CAdeltaLipRipper Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 You base this statement on what ? Both teams have incredibly awesome defenses that allow nothing Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 22, 2011 Super User Posted December 22, 2011 Both teams have incredibly awesome defenses that allow nothing You may be surprised this time around. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 22, 2011 Super User Posted December 22, 2011 Both squads will have over a month to study film and make adjustments during the month before the game. Satan will have the Tide and his staff uptight while Miles will have the Fighting Tigers and his staff loose. Satan needs to win at Bamasux or the pressure will mount from the fans while Miles can win or lose and still be happy at LSU. The hitting will be very hard on both sides of the ball. Bamasux can prepare for George Jefferson as before they had to get ready for George and General Lee. It looks like George will be the QB for the game. I will be in the Superdome for the game and I will be pulling for the Fighting Tigers over the Dark Side. Do you think Satan will bolt from Bamasux to the NFL or University of Texas for more money if he wins or loses on January 9th????? Quote
CAdeltaLipRipper Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 You may be surprised this time around. Ya,u know im sure both teams have learned a lot from playing eachother last time. Im sure the coaches are putting in new plays and such to surprise eachother Quote
