I have a tournament in late march there. Has anyone fished it then and what seems to work? Heard alot about swimbaits. I ll be throwing jerkbaits and rattletraps i guess..

where is your tx out of? depending on water and weather,,crawfish colored rattletraps,strike king red eyed shads,,,suspending jerkbaits lucky craft pointers,,z man chatterbaits,,,water and weather will play will be a key factor,,

Thanks, I think its outta dayton marina. Its a bfl, i ll be fishing as a co-angler, but i will go down the week before and fish out of my boat. Im good with the rattlebaits and jerkbaits. Just dont have alot of swimbaits, so was gonna stock up if need be.. Need to get some chatterbaits also. thanks again.

i looked at some stuff i had wrote down in log book over the last few years for march,if the weather is on your side you'all should do pretty good,looks like the weather didn't co-operate too well for us 2 years in a row,rainy and cold,water was muddy,fish were caught main river banks dirt shallow,outsde grasshopper creek, crawfish orange traps and cranks,,,,main river channel to elridge creek channel,l/c jerkbaits,,both of these locations are mid-lake,,i'm pretty new to this site,i just retired and am gonna wear out fishing this up coming year,i gonna fish 2 tx in feb. on the chick 2nd& 3rd saturdays,not sure if i can shoot ya a pm on here or not,,if not {if i remember} i'll post the results...oldhippie

i forgot,,lol,, there is a local website CFF,, chattanoogafishing forum.com,,,might be a good place to check out local fishing reports before you go,here's a tip,,take note of the reports that post pictures of what they caught,,,

Do you know who your boater is going to be ( or his/her style of fishing )? It may be just alittle early but if you draw a jig fisherman, that you'll probably be running up river. I may be remembering wrong, but I think the chick has put out some great bags the last two years in March. Good luck.
