Super User 00 mod Posted December 19, 2011 Super User Posted December 19, 2011 Roadwarrior and I ventured off to the TN river yesterday for a full day of fishing. Got on the water around 7:45 and fished until around 5 and landed a boatload of fish, probably 30+ with a mixture of everything you could think of: skip jack, crappie, strippers, yellow bass, cats, drum, buffalo, largemouth and SMALLMOUTH!!!! The day got started hot early with the unwanted fish. RW outfished me for the entire day(to be expected), but I had my BEST DAY EVER for smallmouth. Lost a monster when it jumped, but at least we got to see it(5-6lb) early while RW was boating fish left and right. We drifted minnows on the rocks on both sides if the river. About half way through the day is when the MAGIC started to happen. Right around 1 pm I land my new PB smallie at 5.0 lbs. The the very next drift, and very next fish I up it again to 6.4 lbs. MY NEW PB!!! And to top it off I landed both my LM and SM PB in the same year!! Between 1pm and 4:45 is when we landed the majority of our large fish, while also loosing some before we got them netted! My 3 best smallies weighed went 15.4 lbs! GREAT day and a HUGE thanks to RW for putting me on them. My back of the boat guide! Jeff Sun was going down when RW finally let me take a pic of his fish! LOL RW's HUGE buffalo!! Quote
