Packard Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I've had good luck with Seguar Abrazx, Trilene Professional 100% and Spiderwire Fluoro. All three have proven to be stout lines. I even bent a shaky head jig hook out when it got hung on a brush pile in 25ft of water when using 12lb Spiderwire Fluoro. I thought for sure I was going to break...but it wouldn't break. The Abrazx is $35 a spool so I'll probably not use it again. STAY AWAY FROM THE FOLLOWING! Stren Fluorocast - broke off 3-4 times in one day with this stuff. Cost me a tournament. Berkley Vanish - breaks well below the line's rating according to my personal testing Abrasx is only $20 a spool. Quote

patbfishing123 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Ya I've heard Stren Flourocast left alot to be desired. I agree! I tried it out on my dropshot set up and broke off at least three fish just on the hookset. I tried various knots, nothing really worked with it. I've since switched to trilene 100%, no problems yet, great line! Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I got some spooled and ready to go....now, only if I can fine the time to sneak out. What type of knot would you recommended for use? Quote
james 14 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Abrasx is only $20 a spool. It depends on what # test you buy. I was just at BassPro and it was $35 there for 25lb...$30 on Tackle Warehouse. Quote
