BassMaster#1 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I was wandering if you could hook a foot controlled pedal to a transom mount? I came across this ProControll transom mount http://www.basspro.c...10214272/85845. Bass Pro and Cabelas has bad reviews but was wandering if some one had any experience with this first hand. Looking forward to answers Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted December 18, 2011 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted December 18, 2011 I have a hand control TM on the deck of my stratos with 3 "BIG FOOT" foot switches. You still have to give it direction and adjust speed by hand but on/off is foot controlled. Kind of the best of both worlds. Quote
Pete-K Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Don't think they thought that one through. I fished for years also with a hand controled motor. It gave me way more control over fishing without having to use my foot. I had a long handle on mine. Plus like the above I had a switch on both sides. Old Dimmer Switches that went in the floor on autos. I could fish a bank and not have to keep my foot on the peddle. Now I use a Terrova and have the best of both worlds. Quote
urp Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I fished a hand control for years with 360 degree steering[Motorguide]. I loved it. My fishing partner hated it. I had a foot-control on/off switch available from BassProShops. I had to locate my bicycle seat as far forward as I could get it. Seat base also available from BassPro. I've since bought a new boat and am sorry to say its not configured for hand control. Quote
