Super User 00 mod Posted December 13, 2011 Super User Posted December 13, 2011 Unfortunately with work, it looks like I am done for the year, but will get started back early next year, as in first week on January! I just tried making my first ever slide show, so lets see if this thing worked! Jeff Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 13, 2011 Super User Posted December 13, 2011 In addition to the photos of your cute bride, I liked the Wahoo( had to look at it a 2nd time, thought it was a cuda at first)..........hope you ate it, they are mighty good eating. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 13, 2011 Super User Posted December 13, 2011 The slide show worked great - looks like it was a VERY good year ! Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted December 13, 2011 Author Super User Posted December 13, 2011 We did eat the wahoo......it was actually in Barbados, and we traded one for a meal at a nice restaurant, half of one for all the "fixin" to prepare the other half which fed the 6 of us! it was a great experience and a great dinner/time! jeff Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Great slideshow and an even better year it looks like. Congrats! Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted December 13, 2011 Super User Posted December 13, 2011 Well done, sir. Well done. I love that in some of the Caribbean you can trade catch for other goods. It's almost like it's a currency; when we get into Wahoo and dolphin, we pretty regularly trade for items or services and it's great. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 14, 2011 Super User Posted December 14, 2011 Happy to say we get wahoo and dolphin here in South Florida. I got spooled 3 times this year by what must have been wahoo, only fish I can think of that swims faster are billfish and they come to the surface and jump, so it wasn't a big sail. Quote
Fishmaster10 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Looks like you had a really good year, congrats! Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 That looks like a great year! Congrats. Quote
Big-O Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Nice slide show Jeff and guess it's time for you to go thru your gear to touch it up for next year... That's fun too you know!!! Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 17, 2011 Super User Posted December 17, 2011 Jeff didn't mention "The One That Got Away". While on his honeymoon, Dude goes fishing (moron). Anyhow, although he caught a GREAT fish, he fought the Jamacian record marlin for more than an hour. Equipment failure lost the prize. Great year buddy! Quote
Super User slonezp Posted December 17, 2011 Super User Posted December 17, 2011 Enough pics of your 8.9 PB Nice Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted December 17, 2011 Author Super User Posted December 17, 2011 I didn't mention that fish, because well, its just a story! And it was over 4 hrs when the rod broke and then the line! It has been a great year, and also I am going to "sneak" out with RW Sunday to hopefully add my PB smallie to the list of accomplishments this year! Haven't caught a smallie in 20 yrs(fishing with my dad when younger) and the biggest one to date is only around 3 lbs, so maybe.....just maybe....!! Thanks to everyone here I have become a MUCH more knowledgeable fisherman.....still working on those skills! Jeff Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted December 17, 2011 Author Super User Posted December 17, 2011 Enough pics of your 8.9 PB Nice I have a few more if you would like to see!!!! Quote

Super User 00 mod Posted December 17, 2011 Author Super User Posted December 17, 2011 Everywhere between the dam and cotter really! We drift fish the entire stretch and there is no rhyme or reason except the water level, flow and where we find em! LOL Jeff Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted December 19, 2011 Author Super User Posted December 19, 2011 Santa brought me a present or two or three a week early today on the river with RW. Continued success in 2011 look for full story tomorrow!!! Jeff Quote
