Good for you Jones, congrats on your new job and good luck!

I'm starting a new job as well and as of this time, I am open to fish, but that could change. I start a construction project on Monday, March 5th and will have a better idea in a couple of weeks if I can totally commit to the E MA outing.

Nice place to fish .... it is about 15 minutes past the Bourne Bridge.

Mashpee-Wakeby Ponds are two connected natural kettle hole ... Wakeby Pond is the northern basin and Mashpee Pond is the southern basin.

I am still a non boater Grampa. probably til about August. need to find a new apartment as our landlord is selling the place and doesn't want to renew our lease. wife tells me a place to live is more important than a bass boat.

as far as the 15th I am out duer to the fact that I'm fishing ABA as a non boater at Wequaqet that day.

if anyone is interested a friend of mine has been running some open team tourneys on the south shore. I have been fishing on his boat(this is my first year tourney fishing) and everyone has a blast. we fish every sunday until the clubs get going for the year.

we talking new jobs? how do you think i could afford to buy a bass boat at 23 years old.

tootin my own horn: massive promotion basically doubled my salary. woot woot.

I was hopeful to get in on one of these get-togethers last year, but just didn't work out for me schedule wise. Right now, I have no idea where I'll be April 15th. I assume one of my kids has a game somewhere for some sport. Their spring schedules aren't out yet. April is a busy time of year in my house, so I'm not too optimistic.

If the 15th is open for me, I'll check in a few days before you guys are going and see if there are still any open seats.

Sounds like a good spot that might have some trout action too according to tate's link above.

Actually just ran my new boats engine for the first time today. Did real well. I am pretty much all set for the season, except for some random terminal tackle that i just realized i needed. And paperwork for the boat is going down this week. After that, if the weather is good, taking it to Monponsett this weekend for a "sea trial"

fished a small T at monponsett yesterday. we only managed one fish but there were two bags over 16 for the day(handful of guys got skunked). went back today and got a pick while the guy who's boat I was on caught 3 bass to 3.5lbs on the jig. air temps neared 70 and water temps around 50 when we left at 2:30. spring is coming in a hurry. if anyone wants to get out on a moday I am available.

OK guys, we are less than four weeks out from the April 15th get together. We need to know who's in, boater or non-boater, where to meet up (the commuter parking lot just off route 25 in Wareham worked fine last year), and what time. How long are we going to fish? Are we going to be grilling afterward, and who's bringing what for grub if we do grille?

Time to get the details ironed out.

Me= Boater. Will meet wherever. And will bring food, havent decided what yet but i do plan on bringing some.

I'll bring a cooler with spring water and a variety of sodas, and juices. I will also bring some hot dogs, rolls and condiments if needed.

I'm waiting to see if sleeplessweekends will be available. kids=Sports=waiting for his son's baseball schedule. I'm in either way, but I'll be taking my Jon w/8hp if sleepless can't make it. I'd be more than happy to take my gas grill, some burgers and buns. I'll probably fish it on the 1st just to re-familiarize myself with the waters.

Oh yeah, I can't get notifications from BR because last year I lost my password, signed up with a new account but nobody will assist me with deleting the old account info and can't update to my new email until the old info is erased. I'll keep checking back in to see what's going on.
