Just seeing this thread for the first time. I'll read the entire thread tonight, but I am very interested and I have a boat. A 16 foot Sylvan explorer with a 40 Merc. This is just the thing I need to rekindle my fishing. :eyebrows:

Well, turns out all the flakes (yes im talking to you) decided to NOT come yesterday so it was me and Jones enjoying the great weather and catching fish. Oh...wait...that's right we DID NOT catch anything . It was nice to hear at the ramp that others were getting skunked too but it was a disappointment none the less.. Maybe next time SOME PEOPLE will be less flaky and we can actually all get out there and have a good time.

Hey guys, I'm new here so just saw and followed this post. I'm from the boston area, but go to school in NH. If people are around I'd be happy to travel for some fishing, have had some good success in the area recently. Let me know.

Historically the first meet has been slim, but things pick up toward the second meet.....Tyfisher you are more than welcome to participate......Where are we going this time? and when are we going?

Grundle you going to show that dang Heron who the boss is?

WH is fine with me.

That is a fine suggestion.....are there other suggestions... Manchaug, for instance.....speak up people.....

I know i got skunked at whitehall last time so thats why i suggested it. Revenge is sweet.

Persistance is a good trait....anybody else want to see Grundle get revenge on a Heron?

It's alright with me.....I fished it once but it was a long time ago......There's a MAFF tourney there the week after and I think I might be practicing for it.

I will be at Whitehall this sunday helping someone pre-fish. We'll be in an older than dirt blue and white monark. stop by and say hi if you see us.

I'm gonna try to make it on Sunday, can't promise when or how long but I'll be glad to see you all again.

What's the deal with some stuff i'v e been reading about there being northern pike in there? Cant be true right?

They stocked it with Northern Pike a good number of years ago but they did not do well in that habitat. I was talking with a local last year and they said early season someone found a big dead one on the shore. In fact they mentioned that a heron was standing over it.

These birds are out to get me.

I'll have to see if i can do some good this sunday...plus i am VERY excited to try out my HDS7 Gen 2. Even through i have no idea how to read side and down imaging it should still be fun.

wow ... the HDS7 Gen 2 .... you went all in Grundle! Congrats and good luck on Sunday.

I might be at Whitehall on Sat afternoon or Sunday. Don't know yet. Can't commit right now, so I'll probably bring my canoe if I'm able to get out. If you see a guy gettin' skunked in a green Old Town canoe with a trolling motor, that'll probably be me.

Out of curiosity, what time are people meeting up on Sunday?

I'll be there around 6 am. not sure how long we're hanging out but I would guess til at least noon
