I should be ashamed of myself for saying this, bit that man is a dang good qb. Definately seems like fine human being as well.

He didn't do anything til the last 2 minutes of the game. Both teams looked horrible. I think my beloved Bears will be going by way of the Colts for the rest of the season.

You didn't watch the Raider game? Probably a good thing.

After the first quarter I went and puked, either from being sick or from the game, probably was both. Changed the channel, and felt better til about fifteen minutes ago.

He definitely knows how to get the most out of his team in the last couple minutes of a game. He may be a force for years to come if he can figure out how to be productive the other 3 quarters. I love to see him with these comebacks... good for football.

People can say what they want to but they are winning. Mainly because of there D. But when comes down to it he steps up.

The only NFL quarterback with a better win % this year is Aaron Rodgers. Tebow is the man. He just knows how to win. His defense wants to play for him and his o-line and recievers want to block and catch for him. He motivates that whole team.

Not to mention Green bay beat them with a score of 49-23...... I'll be shocked if Denver makes it pass the first round of playoffs.

Nothing more than a flash in the pan.

He gets all this credit for completing passes against the prevent defense, if it wasn't for the other teams collapsing (this week Barber), a kicker who made long field goals and such they would not have won. If he is such a good QB how about this, do not leave you team behind where it requires the other team to mess up for you to win.

First he wouldn't make it. Now he's a flash in the pan. No quarterback wins games on his own, though some manage to lose them. The argument could be made that Peyton Manning carried the Colts, and based on their record this year it has some merit.

Tebow did not kick the 59 yard tying field goal, nor did he kick the winning field goal. However, the team is playing better than it had prior to him taking over the quarterback position. For sure, the Broncos are winning ugly, but, they are winning ugly on a consistent basis.

Remember when Jim Kelley was the fabulous quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. They scored touchdowns with impunity. They were unstoppable with their hurry up offense. For several years, they were supposed to win it all, but they never did.

Tebow came into the league with a lot of negative press. So far, the press and the naysayers have crow feathers sticking out of their mouths. I'll say one thing for Tebow, at the very least he appears to be a man of real character and conviction. Were he to be out carousing and cajoling like the what's his name Jets' quarterback, I doubt he'd be getting the negative press that greeted him and continues to this day.

Methinks he is resented for his professions of faith, not for his football ability, or any lack thereof.

The Denver Elway's have a real test this coming Sunday. Look for an angry New England

team to take out their frustration at Mile High.

To say criticism of Tebow is based on his beliefs is nothing more then a diversion tactic. The criticism is not about his making other players better, or being a winner, he is those things. The facts are he puts his team in positions they have to play catchup at the end of games, where they have to rely on the other team falling apart. That is not a style of play which will lead you to playoff wins or championships. When he starts playing 4 quarters against good teams then the criticism will begin to fade.

If the Denver D is good enough, they could go all the way, and it will get even sillier. Anyone remember who the Ravens' quarterback was in 2000? Me neither.

He's definitely a gamer that leaves it all on the field, every game. He's had some help from the other teams though in a couple of those comeback games though. (See Bears) I would guess that sooner or later he'll have to learn the game from the pocket, but who knows.....all I do know is that he 'Tebow'd' my Raiders.

The 2001 Pats were like this Bronco team. A great kicker, very good defense, and a QB who was/is not great, but doesn't make mistakes and can bring them back in the 4th.

What is interesting is the number of hits Teeblow took at Florida and the number of hits he is taking in the NFL.

Sooner or later Teeblow will be slowed down by an injury if he continues to run the ball. This is why there are running backs to run the ball.

As I posted in another thread, say what you want about Timmy he has brought some excitement to the boring NFL and is fun to watch, love him or hate him.

I don't know who is going to win the game and I'm not critical of Tebow, winning is winning. I would never bet against Tom Brady (unless he was playing against GB or playing with a crutch under one shoulder), he's proven to be one of the finest QB's ever.

QB playing the best this year, no one even close to Arron Rodgers.

I have to disagree with ya BrianinMD. No other qb selected in the mid 20's has ever gotten the scrutiny that Tebow has gotten. When Brady Quinn came into the leage as a rookie was every Sportcenter focused around the fact taht he was a terrible qb...no. What about Chris Weinke and his 2-20 career record (close enough). Every sports guy didnt sit around and talk about how bad he was. He is in the spotlight because of his faith and likability, so people feel they must tear him apart. Steven A. Smith (which is and IDIOT) even said that he and everyone else roots against Tebow because they do not want him to set the bar because his bar is too high.

Posted

Steven A. is a retard. They'll never be able to explain the reason why heart creates wins. Tebow's got heart AND faith. Some call that good MOJO. As times get tougher, you'll see what he's made of. He's deeper than you think.

Tebow has improved all season. I am not so sure we should write him off as a fluke or lucky.

Once he has an off season to work on his mechanics, he should get even better.

He makes the plays to win the game, and that is clutch.

Can't agree there, Where's his improvement?

The team is stepping up and rallying with Tebow being the QB. They block for his runs, hold a good defense, and try to catch the ball since we all know the receivers suck. If anything his team is improving.

His mechanics work, what doesn't work is all the coaches and trainers trying to force him to readjust, if they let him keep his style he is fine.

A QB can influence wins in the short term, over the long haul it's a total team effort. Many teams have done well without a top line QB. Joe Kapp with Vikings, not great at all but the Vikings won a lot of games and were tough, no SB. 72 Dolphins, Griese goes down and an older veteran, Earl Morrall, guides them to the perfect season, team effort and depth are the key ingrediants for success.

But there is always exceptions, Jets would never have won a SB without Joe Namath, one of the most charismatic players, his team loved playing for him.
