SDoolittle Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Who would be on your ballot? You get three votes. My picks: 1. Robert Griffin III 2. Andrew Luck 3. Trent Richardson Quote
Super User 5bass Posted December 10, 2011 Super User Posted December 10, 2011 Same. A bunch of the college football talking heads think Griffin III will win it. He had an awesome year, no doubt. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted December 11, 2011 Super User Posted December 11, 2011 Griffin Richardson Luck Two and three are neck and neck. Honestly, I could see any one of this three winning it. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 11, 2011 Super User Posted December 11, 2011 Griffin. He had a sensational year. Will watch him in Baylor's bowl game. :) Quote
SDoolittle Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 I called that right. I found it interesting that the southeastern voters put RGIII ahead of Richardson and Mathieu. Quote
JIGFISHERMAN. Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 My top 3 would have had Montee Ball on it FOR SURE. Hard to argue with his production, and numbers. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 11, 2011 Super User Posted December 11, 2011 The correct choice was made. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted December 11, 2011 Super User Posted December 11, 2011 As long as the Honey Badger didn't win, the correct choice was made. 1 Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 12, 2011 Super User Posted December 12, 2011 Root beer, the Honey Badger will be back next year and we will see if he can improve on his numbers. The best college football player won the award this year. Just like the best college coach got Coach of the SEC and Coach of the Year awards. Geaux Tigers!!!! 1 Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I would have voted: 1. RGIII 2. Monte Ball (just look and the numbers...blows Richardson out the water) 3. Honey Badger (he sparked the #1 team in the nation) Quote

It wasn't his numbers or play-making ability. Cannot denied that. It was the fact he got suspended during the season that I disagree with selecting him for the Heisman. It my personal opinion that any player who serve a suspension during the season to not win the Heisman. Are they really an outstanding player if they violated team rules? Outstanding player to me means being a good sports on and off the field while sparking his team to victory. I'm sure some player in the past won a Heisman while serving a one game suspension, but I have no vote in the Heisman. lol. 1 Quote
JIGFISHERMAN. Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I agree 100%. I'm a stickler for college football rules, so I'll go one farther. No player on a team that is on probation should win the Heisman. For that matter, there is no way in heck Cam Newton should have won last year.... 1 Quote

Im an LSU fan, so believe me, I HATED Cam Newton, but there is no denying that he was not even in the same leage as the other guys. The dude was a freak. He also served no suspension and the school wasnt placed on probation. Nothing there to keep him from getting the heisman...he deserved it. Now did he recieve money or not...I say yes, but who am I? jeremyt Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I am interested to see how Ball does next year. I know he is a great back, but I think a lot of his success was attributed to Russel Wilson and vice versa. Quote
