Finished adding everything i wanted onto my savage mark II .22 rifle. I shot my best grouping today which was 5 shots with about a .5 inch grouping at 100 yards. Been happy with the rifle so far.

Cool how do you like the scope I thought of getting there sweet .17 scope. That's a snazzy 22 though

i really like it, once i focus the scope in, then it is clear at whichever distance i focused it too. in terms of clearness, this looks the exact same as the nikon scopes i looked at. I would def recommend this if your looking for a great scope for a great price.

The "Sweet" series also come with different turrets that you can switch to match the weight of bullet you are using for trajectory compensation.

Carrington, does your rifle have the Accutrigger?

Posted

no it does not, i really wish i could find that trigger after-,market but they dont sell it. im thinking about maybe dropping the trigger to about a 1lb pull or so if i can find one.

That's the same one that I have then.

Are you setting it up as a target rifle?

I have a Savage 93R17 BVT that I have set up as a target/ long range varmit gun. I shrank my groups alot by just polishing the internals of the trigger, dropping it to less than a pound resulted in dime size groups, when I dont throw one (a rare occasion)

How did u polish the internals I thought of doing this this morning actually befor reading ur post I had it bouncing around up there. I thought of just getting some valve lapping compound from work and using that on a rag or small buffer.
