So far I have found Garmin 400c, Garmin 300c, Garmin 160c, Lowrance® Elite-4x, Lowrance x67c compact, Eagle FishEasy 350C, and Humminbird 345c.

Looking for a colored screen 3-5 inches, something I can mount to my trolling motor, and relativity easy to use...

Which one of these would you guys put on your boat?

You would be willing to find a MUCH nicer color depth finder by buying used, vs new.

I have the Lowrance X67c....I use it for ice fishing, as well as putting it on my boat. Super easy to use. It's not cutting edge tech. wise, but it's a very good 2d, non-hd, color unit. I mounted mine on the console where the smallish 3.5 screen is closer to my eyes and have no trouble seeing things.

What about Lowrance Elite-4x DSI? Has anyone used one of these and like them better than the sonar? These are going for around 180 right now.

Depending on your angling expertise, it may or may not be a wise choice. It only does Down Scan.

It does not do regular sonar which is needed for vertical presentations where you need a wider sonar beam to keep up with the presentation.

It is a good way to get into the imaging technology though if you are an inexperienced angler.
