Some of you may need to reload your avatar. Previously we had both Avatars and "Profile photos". This created a lot of confusion over which one to use. So we've eliminated the "Profile photos" because those were the least used. Apologies for any inconvenience.

I've tried to reload my avatar several times, both from a URL and a direct upload and the avatar is still my old profile picture which is fuzzy. The picture I want as my avatar shows up in my profile settings but not in my posts. Any thoughts anyone? (still miss spellcheck in the reply to or create new topic boxes)

I see a pic of one of the 3 stooges, and it's not blurry. I clicked around on your profile and that's all I saw. No other images. No blurry images.

A made a small change, and it seemed to fix most of the avatar issues.

I have been crazy busy lately and haven't made It over here since late November. I get here today and everything's different. I took a few minutes to look around, play with the avatar upload, and generally surfed a little.

Hey Glenn, I never had an photo album before. If I try to upload pics from Photobucket to make a new album, I get a :

"No permission to create new abum" message

Can you or someone else help me out?

I can't add a profile pic so I went to my gallery to find another one, and then I was trying to add more photos to my gallery I get the above message

I'm having avatar issues too. My pre-upgrade avatar is not appearing, and when I attempt to upload a new JPEG, I get an error "failed to set a new photo"

Any suggestions?

Chris, are you getting your link from photobucket? If the answer Is yes, instead of using the Image link use the "direct " link, or at least that worked for me.

Try now. Also, please ensure the file you're trying to upload is less than 150k, otherwise it will be rejected.

I reduced the size and it finally loaded up from tiny pic, but it is now just an image, no more it an animated gif like before.

Upload it again. I changed a setting and it should work after you upload it again.

This is what I get trying to add a photo

Getting the same message trying to add photo to gallery.

I just tried it and the URL import worked fine for me. Do you have a url that you are trying to use that isn't working?

Please note that you need to use the complete url as well (including the http:// part)

This is what I get trying to add a photo

I cannot replicate this error when trying to add a photo for an avatar. Please try again and let me know if you're still getting it.

I get it trying to get to the gallery.

You need to select an album before uploading. It's a button in the upload pop-up that says "select album"

If I hit the gallery button at the top of this page I get this error. I have no access to the gallery from anywhere.

Regarding Blurry Images

It's the size of the image..

Basically, what had a thumbnail image in previous versions, might not now, and if that happens.. You get what you see.

That's why I recommend images that are at least 150px wide now.

I had to work around it a bit.. but.. Should have it showing right now.. Though.. When it auto-resizes, if the image isn't square.. And it's too small to resize.. It still causes problems with it being stretched a bit.. Only thing that can be done there, really is uploading a larger image (in dimensions) But.. It's better than it was.

Regarding Gallery Access Issues

All problems have been resolved.
