fished from sun-up til 2 and caught them pretty good. it was freezing this morning and rough. when i finally got to my spot, the water was dirty and i thought i had made a mistake coming to the lake today. didn't catch crap and decided to pack it in and call it a day. as i was heading in, i saw an area that looked clean. shut down and started to fish. first cast missed a 4 pounder at the boat and the very next cast caught a good one. for the next hour i caught a bunch of 3 pounders and had close to 20 pounds with my 5 biggest. it is amazing how discouraged you can be and as soon as you start catchin 'em, your mood changes. i love lake o. the pics are for you doug.

NICE!

We went out yesterday on the East side and did fair, nothing great, biggest went 4lbs, but you gotta love it finding some fish when especially with the wind the way it was! Again, find clear to dirty water transition and a roaming school and its ON!

Good save Bruce! I was out there yesterday and the day before. It was horrible for us.

Good job. I was out there today and pretty much had all your negatives but only a few of the positives. Caught some bucks and saw a lot of beds but no inhabitants on them. With the wind and cloud cover it was tough to see and I'm not that great at it anyway. You are right though-look for the clean water-that is where all my, albeit limited, success was.

Who's fishing the Toys for Tots on Saturday? My club is embedding its monthly tournament into it for the charity.

Nice, the winds are forecast to be 8-10 mph into next week. Maybe that will help clear up the water. It should be real nice for the Toys for Tots. I already have plans for saturday...The Nutcracker... :sleep-051:

LMAO, nice pictures! Cold weather, wind and dirty water makes for a MISERABLE day on lake "O" :( . I'm glad your drive out there wasn't a total loss and you were able to find some nice fish.

Doug.
